Sometimes in landscape photography it pays to take the long route to your location rather than parking up as close as you can. By parking further away and walking into the area it opens up the possibility to find alternative scenes, compositions and subjects, particularly if it's a new location that you're going to.
That's what I did in this video and I'm glad that I did because it meant I created some images that just wouldn't have happened if I'd taken the easy route.
