Yes it makes sense and it's not always easy to capture 'how it feels' but every once in a while it happens. Glen Coe is simply gorgeous to gaze at!

What an amazing place Tom and you had such a great set up, awning up, nice and dry, cuppa only meters away, and a spectacular view. I loved the simplicity of the image you took of the valley, it really highlighted some of the fantastic colours and textures in the landscape and the leading line provided by the river was perfect. Devil’s Pulpit looked incredible and the colours on the image you captured were so vivid. There is no doubt that Glencoe and Scotland for that matter is beautiful full of wonderful landscape photography opportunities. Thanks for taking us with you on your trip mate, I hope to visit one day.

Just back from Scotland myself but thankfully had better weather in The Trossachs, slightly further south. The autumnal colours were spectacular. Having viewed this series upon my return I can't wait to go back. Well done.

Monty at 3:11 - priceless... Really get the feeling he's wondering what in the hell are you doing out there, when there's a nice warm camper van, and a faithful companion to keep you company. What I'd do to have a camper van to tour around the Lake District and Scotland. What a life. What pictures. What an experience. Another great video. Thanks Thomas. You're forgiven for giving in to a warm bed and a hot shower...

Dear friend Thomas, you had very nice van, i didn't know that there are vans with bed facilities, Thanks for making beautiful and informative clip, I just now subscribed to your channel, Love Scotland, whenever i visit Scotland , i just love the beautiful nature in Scotland, it's so relaxing and peaceful, the village people are so welcoming ,caring and Hospitable.

The confession was amazing. I laughed out loud. Your personality is what makes your vlogs so good. I would watch them even if I was not a wannabe photographer. I frankly would not care if you spent every night in a hotel. The campervan gives you options which you can choose to use or not. It does not mean you have to test your toughness at every opportunity. Thanks for all your hard work producing content. It must take a lot of time and I bet it drives Charlotte crazy. You however are at the top of your craft and you are my favorite vlog on RU-vid. Thanks again.

The contrast of that little white house at 5:20 against the dark granite, the red heather and the mood of the skies was crying oot fae some exposure wee laddie... other than that, good content, great consistency, keep at it mate.

Love your dog, a curly Labradoodle. We too have a Labradoodle which is a shaggy one and I fully agree with your wet dog problem in a small camper van. We got to the stage where we had our shaggy dog clipped short so he was easier to dry off. I like your videos, you show that we must get out with our cameras whatever the weather.

i was at finnich glen(devil's pulpit) earlier this year,very similar conditions.i waded thru the water,thigh deep,to get to the devil's pulpit itself,then further into the gorge for some cracking shots.i highly recommend,getting wet,and walking thru the water to get some real cracking compositions.

Thomas, I love all your videos but this road trip has been fantastic! And something else that I noticed is that although you use music you are sparing with it, which I do appreciate. A lot of video producers seem to feel that music 'holds people's interest' and they use it even under dialogue-but I find that very distracting. It's a welcome relief when someone simply speaks into the camera with no audio clutter. Thank you!
@Garyjonesphotos

That has to be a bloody heavy backpack - and make those slick steps an adventure to get down and back up! I have a similar Tamrac bag which carries everything and I often split out what I think I'll need into one of their sling packs. Really cuts down on a lot of weight and makes hiking easier, but sometimes having everything with you is necessary for the variety of shots that might be possible. And who wants to miss a shot! :-) One other thing - I got a rain cover that fits my camera for a recent Fall shoot in the Smoky Mountains from Storm Jacket you might like to look into. There are others, of course. But it looks like you get out in a bit of rain too! (Thanks for the great video and taking us along for the journey.)

Thomas- You probably already know this tip-- but toilet seat covers (tissue paper) make great lens wipes for conditions like this. They absorb water well, and don't leave any fibers or residue. Best of all, they are available almost anywhere, for free! They worked miracles for me while in Iceland. -Zack, Seattle WA

Interesting watching one of your old vlogs as I only started watching your channel a year ago. First time I've seen the dog :-) Came across your vlog in researching Finnich Glen/Devil's Pulpit for a photography trip I have planned to Fort William & Skye next May. heard about this place and decided to make it a bucket list site to do and stay overnight nearby as heading up from 'down south'. Won't get autumn colours but think it's still a 'must see'. Hope I can get my camera gear down those sketchy steps!
