In today's video, I review the Landyachtz Ripper, a directional cruiser longboard from Landyachtz. Coming in at 36.9 inches long, 9 inches wide, and with a 24.9 inch wheelbase, this board has a pintail shape with a nice sized kicktail. This setup is the complete (1) and comes with 130mm polar bear trucks and 63mm fatty hawgs wheels. While it isn't necessarily the best in class for any particular riding style, the one word I can use to describe it is FUN! This board can be purchased at www.landyachtz.com

Hey Maxx, just wanted to say thanks for the video! I'm a total beginner and this specific board caught my eye, but I've been holding off on buying it because I couldn't really find any reviews, until I stumbled across your video. You were super informative, and you've sold me on the board!

Thanks for the great review! I have been torn mainly between the Raft Messenger and the Schooner. I don’t think the Ripper is for me but I wouldn’t know that without your review. It looks a little too long for me. I am a complete noob and I’ve been hesitating getting the Schooner because of the price tag. It seems like a lot to spend on my first board. I haven’t seen any reviews like this of the Schooner but I wish more reviews were like yours because it was very informational. It’s good to hear you like Landyachtz as a brand though it gives me more confidence their boards are worth it I just have to choose the right one 🫠

I would consider my self as an intermediate rider, in terms of being on the board. In terms of any kind of tricks I’m an absolute beginner. And I would like to get a board to cruise around and do some tricks (nothing to fancy, just slides for braking, Ollies and go up and off curves) I currently have a switchblade, which is really nice to cruise, and a dinghy which is not that comfy and actually sometimes is kinda sketchy for me. I’m considering getting a ripper, a schonner or a rally cat. Which one would be better to cruise and learn some basic tricks?

Out of those three choices, I would honestly say the Rally Cat man! I've ridden my friend's, and it is super comfortable for cruising, has a nice tail and nose for flat ground tricks, and slides like a dream.

I have a drop cat and hesitate with the ripper or dipper, and finally i need sometging short to carry. So you said rally cat, why not but do you have an advice vs the loaded chinchiller which seems great too
