Enjoyed it. I’ll eventually add it to my board quiver. After I get a Meat Bike, and a Max Capps custom. I currently ride a MIDS board. I’m all in favor of supporting the rider made custom boards. I still support the big brands too! It all helps grow this thing of ours!

I wish landyachtz would make a non carbon version which is cheaper, they also ditched their whole hollowtech boards to make them more affordable and now they basically sell us an overpriced chopped 9two5, those 2 layers of carbon dont justify the high price in my opinion. I highly doubt that the avarage rider in a normal weight range, would need those 2 layers of carbon, since its so small and you basically have most of the weight directly placed on the trucks like its intended to be, you have any flex at all. To be honest i rather check for an used old 9two5 deck for around 80-100 bucks and chop it into that shape by myself than spending 3x the amount on that deck. In this price category id expect more than just a simple 9 ply maple core in an old mould with 2 plys of Carbon, if you see what u can get for that price from Descent, Pantheon (Seed), Moonshine, Rocket (Ian Freire Pro), Powell (might be oversized but still). Im not saying its a bad deck, it looks wonderfull and id like to give it a ride for sure. But the simple fact that the price is too steep for what u get vs. the other boards on the market is just a bummer. And what upsets me the most, is the fact that they stopped the whole hollowtech production for longboards to make their boards more affordable for everyone and now come up with a kind of board like that, i used to love landyachtz and exclusively had LY boards only in my quiver but since their quality disappointed me in the last years (big cracks on the sides, warping etc.) and the fact that they just discontinued their wohle Hollowtech line up, was enough for me to look out for other longboard companies. And the simple fact that landyachtz still advertises their boards as high quality canadian product when most of their line up is just a 9 ply maple board which is made in China (Yes, v2 Cheesegrater, Dinghy, Dropcat, etc. are all made there.) makes it even worse and makes me actually not wanna buy any LY product again sadly...

Can you please tell how you made you torque block? For some reason it's very hard to find factory made torque blocks now.

So the bear kodiaks 140s are probably a no go? I’ll buy the smokies if that’s the case but just from your riding experience on this board what would you say? Or anyone really. I’ve riding for about 7 years but these shorter boards and slalom trucks are still new to me.

I’ve been watching so many of your videos they’re very helpful. I’ve had a longboard for a few months now. The board is playshion drop through and is 39 X 9.1. The board was designed for beginners / intermediate. Great for stability not much response with the trucks though. I weigh 127. I’m looking for a good board to learn slides on. With my current board it’s very difficult to kick out when doing a Coleman slide, and is very difficult to Resume stance after. I have to push so hard I do a 180. Is there any boards I can learn slides on with ease ? (Meaning glove down and stand ups) Thank you.
