Lane 8 teams up with British singer-songwriter Rae Morris in stunning new single ‘No Fun’.
Fresh from the release of his extremely successful fourth artist album ‘Reviver’, an 18-date album tour and a recent performance at Coachella, Lane 8 returns to Anjunadeep with yet another outstanding single. This time he pairs up with British singer-songwriter Rae Morris, who has been praised by the likes of Clash Magazine, NME and The Guardian, and has recently announced the release of her third artist album ‘Rachel@Fairyland' via RCA.
Premiered on Anjunadeep 13 by James Grant and Jody Wisternoff, ‘No Fun’ combines Lane 8’s creative and unique production with Rae's smart lyric writing and emotional voice.

I have no idea of the meaning of the song. I have no idea what the video is meant to state. All I know is that the music of Lane 8 and Rae Morris' vocals just make this song so beautiful and addictive. I mean is it weird that this song touches my soul and I don't even know why?

“Why just eyes on me” in the supermarket (people in the community judging this person for her career path / failures as a DJ etc) “I’d rather you just came out and said I told you so” (she’d rather people tell her she’ll never make it big to her face and not be so subtle about it “Wish I knew better no one truly leaves” (nobody ever leaves her community or does something different like Djing) “Never lead a crowd to tears” (wishes she’d be able to make people cry with her music) (( ironic because Lane 8 probably has done that with this very song :) “I would let them burn me down on an open stage” (she’d be willing to fail on stage and let people mock her as long as she goes after what she likes doing (Djing) “don’t you need some troubles to chew on of your own” her saying in her head to those criticizing why don’t you worry about your own problems .. but no , it wouldn’t be as fun as it is to mock her ..” but that would be no fun” -Henry :) saw a similar interpretation somewhere else
