Shuhua actually is the third best at English in the group. The problem is her pronunciation. She understands a lot but has problems with pronouncing the words
Soyeon actually understands like A LOT in True damage she had a translator, but she understood what the guy said in english about how they are going to be moving around the stage but is really bad at talking, Miyeon talks well and understands well and finally my bias Shuhua who does understand but its kinda hard for her and yes also the pronunciation.
what i love about her is that she isn't afraid to actually speak in English despite her limited vocab. Confidence is important too which she obviously has. She takes her sweet time formulating her words for everyone to understand what she's trying to say. A little more practice and she could keep up with Yuqi and perhaps Minnie's English skills too!
thats the thing about korean culture and japanese too.. they learn in school but never learn to speak just grammar for passing stupid test.. and they get super scared about speaking english when they shouldn't... we butcher other languages all the time with no shame.. they should too
