We loved being in Chiang Mai for the Lantern Festival! It's definitely the most exciting amd beautiful time of year to be there!❤🇹🇭 Who has been during the festival or would like to go someday?
@dianaheggenstaller5317 Loy Krathong takes place once a year on the evening of the full moon of the 12th month in the traditional Thai lunar calendar, thus the exact date of the festival changes every year. In the Western calendar this usually falls in the month of November. In Chiang Mai, the festival lasts three days. For 2024 it will be November 15th! ☺️
It was definitely a sight to see! They release even more lanterns outside the city, so next time we come for the festival, we will go to one of the more organized lantern release events!!
Very true, we were a little disappointed that our previous videos didn't get watched more. I hope everyone will enjoy our vlogs from all over the world. ❤️😊
All public! They post a schedule of activities before festival. A bit confusing to navigate our first time haha. The private events are typically for the lantern release are geared towards tourists. You can also just get your own driver and go to that spot without buying tickets.
