I'm appalled by the people complaining about the absence of subtitles. It doesn't matter what the words are. It helps, if you know what they are... but surely NOBODY can fail to understand the emotion, to appreciate the meaning even WITHOUT knowing the actual, literal meaning of the words she's singing. (Parenthetically, she said, in parentheses... It never fails to disturb me that so many Americans lack even the basic, remedial knowledge of Latin that helps so much when encountering any Romance language. Even if I didn't know this song backward and forward, I could hear it for the first time and understand ENOUGH of it without subtitles... precisely because I had a minor educational background in Latin in my primary and secondary school years. Not Latin classes, just - enough exposure to it, as well as to other languages. It['s a damned shame this country values other languages so little. It shows in everything we do and don't do. We are a parochial nation, and it is a huge failing.)
This song is a tour de force of emotions! When you add the emotive combined with the technical excellence that is Lara, you have a masterpiece that is this performance. Although she has many years of classical training, bellcanto and so forth. I believe Lara to be a very instinctive singer with lots of raw talent which she has refined to perfection. Thanks so much for the reaction and observations.👍
Bonjour ,le texte , les mots , l' histoire sont importants dans cette chanson ,si vous ne comprenez pas , vous perdez tout l' intérêt et l' émotion que dégage cette superbe chanson de Serge Lama.
I'm pleasantly surprised with the general quality of this video (I'm talking about you and your feelings of course). You clearly define his talent which was eclipsed in its time but which is still very much alive today.
You have a very nice touch in how you dissect the performance/music/song.of an artist/singer. A lot of people do reaction videos but only a few are well trained or simply aware of the craft. More power to your channel.
Great reaction, but just a pity you did not choose a subbed version of the video. Lyrics are one and unforgettable part of the song, and make Lara's performance even more incredible once you understand what she sings.
It's a pity you didn't pick the version with french and english lyrics (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dVvlmpo5g9k.html). You'd even be so much more impressed by the interpretation of this"bad love" story Lara sings. "Je suis malade" means "I am sick". Nevertheless I love your reaction even perhaps without understanding the lyrics, meaning that you received straight to your heart the emotion supplied by Lara ! I think you should watch that so emotional other live song "je t'aime" (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qO3b-MyyTZg.html), with french and english lyrics. You'll love it too ! Dom
I love your reactions.. but you MUST... I mean MUST .. redo this reaction to this song.. but redo it with the version with the English subtitles on the video!!! I say this with the most respect!! I promise you .. you will NOT regret it. Reading the lyrics as you listen to her sing it.. will literally leave you at a loss for words. It will rock your foundation.. and leave you in utter awe of this gorgeous artist!!!! Thanks for reacting to our girl Lara!!! Much love from Canada!!!
Oh.. and if you have not reacted to her singing Caruso yet.. that should be one on your list too... it's on my top three of Lara's! Choose the one with onscreen English subtitles.. as it's quite an emotional song. Thanks again! :)
@@THEREALONE52 I love how invested you are in the artists when you react.. that is the biggest reason that I suggested you do this!! Keep up the great work!
