Hi Jen, one of my favorite covers by Lara, since I have been loving that song since an Italian friend introduced me to the original by Lucio Dalla, which is also very beautiful, but Lara kicks it out of the park... 💗💗💗... Lara is incredible, this still gives me goosebumps after dozens of times I've watched this... maybe it is because I have a special connection with and love for Italy... just like her, though my Italian ancestor is some more generations back than her grandmother and mother - I've been travelling Italy a lot as a child with my parents and was about 18 when Enzo introduced me to Dalla's Caruso... Thanks, beautiful reaction, have a great day and enjoy it!

Lucio Dalla’s CARUSO is my favorite song, the most beautiful in the world. Thank you for playing it. You might want to listen to Il Volo’s tribute to Dalla in the arena at Taormina. CARUSO IS actually a modern song made #1 in Europe by Pavarotti. Lucio Dalla died young from a heart condition at 65. Thank you again.

Caruso, is an italian song, written, composed and performed in 1986 by Lucio Dalla as a tribute to Enrico Caruso, the most famous tenor of his time (late 19th / early 20th century). He was the first global singing superstar It has very quickly become a classic of italia music and the biggest names have covered it (Julio Iglesias, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, …. and of course Luciano Pavarotti). But for many, Lara's version is the best ever, as she was able, with her unique ability to convey the emotions of a song, to reveal the real sad story written by Lucio Dalla. I was told that Lucio Dalla himself, after hearing this performance, said that she made it her song and this is the best version he has heard from it. The story is about the last days of Enrico Caruso, he knows he is dying, and he is remembering all his career on stage and telling his much younger wife how much he loves her. For Lara, this song is really important as this is a kind of anthem for Italy, and she is so much connected to this country. She spent the first few years of her life there with her sicilian mother and grandma. Her husband is also sicilian.

This song stays in my head every time I hear it, even though I don't speak Italian! You should try a song that we don't often hear from Lara's reactors. It's called "You're Not From Here", from the same concert. I have one version on my account, but you can find others easily by search. That's not the most known but it's something you have to hear. (but I'm sure some of the great Lara's fans, like Eric..., will tell us more about this song soon).

Perhaps the greatest storyteller in musical history. Many people might suggest "I Will Love Again", Lara's anthem to female strength. Listen to it and then, in the RU-vid searchbox, type in "Blue007 Lara Fabian I Will Love Again". The ballad version of this song with 2 dancers will pop up. The slow version of this song is just gorgeous, as is the story of the dancers. Just stunning.
