I love this movie since 1965 till today

I fell in love with this movie decades ago and it still haunts me

I first saw the film Dr zhivago in the winter of 1979 on a school visit to the armidale nsw Australia movie theatre with the armidale high school.i was a student there in year 12. I'm ashamed to say I didn't know what I was in for when the lights went down and the film began.i was absolutely enthralled and as the film progressed knew that it was a real classic and loved the scene where they went into the frozen smaller house after that train journey. I sat in the theatre and wept when the kids from the academy were shot down and when he put Laura on the sled to say goodbye. I wept to myself of course.one could never show sadness in public as a male. The others were all pretty bored and restless through the film but I loved it. All those years later I still remember this visit as one of the highlights to a pretty toxic time at school.many times I've had to say goodbye to dying relatives and lost loves but remember the scene in film to comfort me. I've read the novel several times and took my mother to see the restored version 20 years ago and both loved it.

I first saw this film in 1966. Even at the age of six, I was mesmerised by Julie Christie; I’d never seen anyone so beautiful, I’m yet too... Still makes me weep like a fool😂

This film gets better as you age . Am 62 now .

I still remember my visit to Safire theatre in 1966, when my Prof Blaise Diaz asked me to sing Lara’ s theme and I sang it for him.Beautiful and heart touching words of true love. Permanently etched in my memory.

What a wonderful true story of a great soul Yuri( played by devilishly handsome MR.OMER SHERRIF)and the Genteel and true lady to the core of Tanya played by Ms.Geraldine Chapline And of course the magical radiance of Ms.Julie Christie complimented by the Backdrop of Russian revolution and Landscape of Eurals.My father who was a surgeon in British Indian 8th army got a copy of the very first edition Published in Italy in 1958 and I was just 7 when he asked me to read it.The suffering of common people in the revolution and the violation of human rights and an oppressive govt could not crush the spirit of Dr.Zhivago and His love for his country to serve shows Human spirit is unconquerable and ultimately tyrannical regimes fall and Poetry and love are celebrated. Aptly Given the Nobel prize for literature. Great music and Direction making a celebration of life when YURIS DAUGHTER CONTINUES HER LIFE IN SOVIET RUSSIA.learnt a lot of lessons Of how to handle the harsh realities of life.Loved it when the area commander says the house can hold 30 families YURI REPLIED IT IS JUST WITH A TWINKLE IN HIS EYE.THANKS YOU TUBE.

I just finished watching this movie tonight. It was on PBS & although I liked Tanya better, I love this song because my aunt gave me a jewelry box with a little dancing ballerina inside that played this tune.

Português Inglês My ancestors were Russians. I read Boris Pasternak's book, watched the movie and was in Russia. I once talked to Doctor Zhivago (Egyptian actor Omar Sharif), here in Brazil. Boris Pasternak was a genius.

The way Pasternak wrote her, she was that most rare of humans: one whose virtue was reflected precisely in her looks. Like a queen she walked through life clothed in that grace and that status: as a person who did the right thing to the best of her ability, while all the while knowing she was just a sinner. Zhivago's fundamental problem was that he fell in love with, and married, a woman who he grew up with; a woman close enough to be his sister. It was his fate to love two women.

Not only that, Boris was genius, he knew so much of the thing called heart. He knew so much and let us appreciate that truth. Dr Zivago, is of evergreen and even some eternal value. It has the tenderness and the strenght of the Holy Spirit at work. Without the the Holy Spirit there'd be no Dr Zivago. Thanks be to God. Te Amo, Te Amo, Te Amo! ♥️♥️♥️
