Found on the shelves in Aug 2024, 3 bottles LBP C922 $70. (15) B523. (5) ECBP A123 (4) B522. (1) B521. $76-81. All in same area.

I finally found this at a sleeper store in my area and snapped up three bottles. It is really ridiculous. I couldn't believe it. it drinks like a $250 bottle in my opinion. I really hope they can keep it up with their future releases.

It’s such a relief to hear you say availability is “wonky” as so many infer that Heaven Hill products are readily available. I see just a hand full of the Larceny or EC barrel proofs a year where I live.

Since I just got into whiskey and bourbon this year, I’ve only got B522 and C922. Really love the C922. Great review

I've been appreciating Larceny BP over the 3 batches...each iteration seems to get better and better. I've been looking for the c921 for three months...l still have hope it will get out to the west coast...Heaven Hill!

I really enjoy your videos. When C922 hits the shelf in my state, it sells out quickly. Fortunately, I picked up a bottle a few weeks ago, as it immediately resonated well with my palate. If I can find it again, I will pick up another bottle or two.

I drank this and ECBP B520 back to back and I had to do a double take to make sure I grabbed the right bottle. This is absolutely incredible.

Great review- agree that this is best Larceny to date! I felt that 3 of last 4 have shown significant improvement (A122 was just ok). C921 & B522 were very nice bourbons but this C-922 took it to another level. Hope they keep it going! Merry Christmas!

Just picked up a bottle of A123 for 58 (before tax, somehow. In MD) and I compared it to a B522 (both opened at the same time, today (01/23/23) and wow. I'm terrible at spotting tastes and such. But the b522 was WAY smoother on the neck pour (cracked and poured with no rest), it's almost like it had time to rest. No fire whatsoever. The a123 neck pour packed a punch and was very hot, but much sweeter and less oakey. After about 5-10 minutes, the A123 far surpassed the B522. Leveled out in smoothness and fire, while being a couple percent higher, and had more sweetness and less oak (or wood) flavor. Over all I'd say the A123 was better, without contest. I need to find a C922 bottle so I can try this. My local store probably has it in the back. He still had b522 in the shelves, so based off how he stocks things he's still got his supply in the back. Anyways, great video! EDIT: And yes, I'm blasted off of comparing these whiskeys today lol

I’m glad I bought this when I had the chance. The only place that had it in town was a place I almost never go because they jack up prices to secondary levels (like $100 for regular Eagle Rare and $600 for regular Stagg). This, like other LBPs before it, was $100. Although I’m sure after C922’s accolades they’re going to start charging $150+ for all future batches. Sad reality. That said, I’m happy I bought this, even at $100. Was my only option in town when it came out, and it already is easily in the top 5 of my collection, and easily the best finish.

This bottle is fantastic. I heard from a buddy of mine who went on a Heaven Hill tour that these releases are more like 9-10 years old at this point, hoping one day to share that 12-year age statement that ECBP has

Found a bottle just yesterday at MSRP. It was behind some other less desirable batches.

Picked this up on the same day as finding the Maker's BRTs. (All at retail) and it was a slap in the face good punchy bourbon. Stomped the BRTs. Went back to it a month later and the edges have softened just a bit to make it more approachable. Great stuff. Happy Holidays Jason!

I just revisited B522 last night. It was better then the day I opened it but still not my go to. 😮

Just picked up a bottle of C922 last night. I’m looking forward to trying it after your review Jason. I have the C921 and B522. The B522 is pretty good. If you have the ECBP C922, I recommend you blending it with the LBP B522 (1:1 Blend). That’s a really tasty combination 👍🏾.

Larceny barrel proof has always been a sleeper (living in the shadow of its Elijah Craig BP sibling). I’ve been a loyal fan of the Larceny BP for a couple years now, and I honestly never saw much of a difference between the different batches (maybe because I add water and orange peel:), so I’m looking forward to finding the C922 (only B-batch still on the shelves around here). I hope people don’t buy into the hype and snap it up to the point I have to pay 2x to order a bottle from Caskers! UPDATE: Finally showed up in one of my local liquor stores today. I was skeptical of all the hype, but after trying it, it's totally worth the hype. I'm shocked. I'm tempted to go back and grab one of the two remaining bottles that I tucked away behind the A122 bottles:).

I thought this was the best of the 22s as a fresh crack but I blinded them a few days ago and had B522 on top. I think that one opened up beautifully as I had A122 > B522 also as fresh cracks. Same thing happened with the 22 ECBPs for me. Put both lines as B>C>A in blinds

Sadly this is not available in my market. However, I appreciate your thoughts and if it every shows up, I will buy without hesitation. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

I love Larceny BP's I prefer A122 it's got a pancake and maple syrup thing the C922 is hotter it has a nuttier profile more oak. To me these are very good they are not ultra complex but delicious

Couldn't find the C922 but I did just pick up the A123 Larceny 125.8 barrel proof for $61.99. Honestly I love it, strange it reminds me of the Jack Daniel's SBBP, but I've heard the complaints of some of these batches. Maybe my untrained palate doesn't register bad whiskey? Bottom line I'm enjoying it now so at least I finally acquired a bottle. I'll keep searching for the better batch!

I got a bottle of C922 for $52! I only got one because they only had one, but I found a place that has them for $60 still. Do I get another one to bring back down to Texas with me where they go for about $100 or more?

After breaking Bourbon rated it four or 4 1/2 barrels my God brother bought four bottle. I need to try still. I have B522 and I thought that was good.

Honest Question...I love Weller SR, higher proof Makers, ECBP, and 1792...but could not STAND Larceny Small Batch. Would I like this bottle? I can get one for 80 I am considering it.

My experience with 'Wheaters" is almost zero. I never really enjoyed Maker's Mark but I eventually want to try Old Elk and a few others to expand my palate. Coincidentally I just cracked open a Willett Pot Still Reserve that was a gift. Honestly at 94 proof it seemed hotter but my initial tasting results were that it's pretty enjoyable. Now my curiosity is lit to try some other 3 or 4 grain whiskeys with wheat. Merry Christmas Jason!!!

I don’t know what is inside this WT101 bottle it is not wild turkey 101 damn believe me its 6-8yrs old can’t believe it tastes much older than it states. Nutmeg, brown sugar, oak, sweet, medium butter, silky smooth and so enjoyable. WT101 at $20ish tastes like $40+ bourbon. Easily my top10 bourbon all year . Sorry i know it is not about larceny but WT101 😜

I've been searching for this darn release, but can't find it yet. I don't think it's shown up in MN. It's so random when these things show up on the shelves. I had a pour of Larceny barrel proof at the distillery that was 128+ proof and it was fantastic so it got me excited to find this C922. Oh yeah... one other thing they mentioned at the distillery was that they're trying to get Larceny barrel proof to have a 12yr age statement like ECBP. Apparently they just haven't quite been able to get there yet because of the demand for regular Larceny. They keep having to use more barrels to make the regular stuff that they don't have enough 12yr old barrels yet to age state Larceny BP.

All LBP have been lackluster for me until this one. C922 tastes like they watered down a boring batch like A122 with something interesting like Old Fitzgerald 8.

It's better,...but seeing how most of their barrel proofs are bad it doesn't make it great. It's still average. I would NOT pay over $80. That's just me though 😁
