Larceny Barrel Proof A123 Bourbon Review! Does it compete with C922? 

I blinded this twice with my C922 batch and it won both times. Maybe I'm in the minority, but whatever! I'm lucky to have been able to score both. Easily some of my favorite bourbons--and like you did at the end, might as well blend them! So great

JC: I hope you know how amazing of a job you are doing. I'm sure some days are harder than others but I hope this might motivate you through the hard times. I truly look forward to your videos and especially Wednesday night every week. I'm busy like most Dad's; working as a HS teacher during the day and taking care of kids when I get home, but when I put them down to sleep and tune in to you on Wednesday it brings me so much joy. kind of takes me away from the daily grind of life. I know you are working hard behind the scenes and it is much appreciated. Thank you again for all that you are doing for the bourbon/whiskey community. 🥃 👏

Great review! Thank you for putting it together. Over the weekend I was searching for Larceny A123. Came across C922 instead. Can't say that I came away disappointed.

As a die hard Chief’s fan, my celebratory pour was a store pick old forester single barrel. Friggin amazing!!

I picked up 2 of these. I love Larceny small batch. Especially the price.

Could never find C922 here in FL so I have no comparison but I just tried the neck pour of A123...and I found it pretty damn amazing. Can't wait to let it age and air a little.

What timing, I had just done a neck pour of my A123 when I saw this so I nosed and tasted with you. I agree with your notes and with your C922 comparison. Leaning toward C922 at the moment, but I don’t trust neck pours and I bet A123 will be a hitter with air, so will wait a few weeks to blind them.

Great review. I picked up the Larceny BP C922 a few weeks ago, but the A123 has not hit my area yet. I have looked in 2 neighboring states and they have not received either. Hope to get it soon.

I sipped along with you, Jason, for this review. I already had the Larceny '22's and I came home today with the A123 so I could sip along. I agreed with your tasting notes. Lately I've made a hobby of doing my own blends of my pretty extensive collection and with your conclusions here I'm going to jump up and make a 50/50 blend of C922 and A123. We already know it's going to be delicious! Thanks Jason! EDIT: Okay, I made 6 ounces of a 50/50 blend and holy cow is it delicious! Try it. . . .

I was able to get brt-02 Markers and this A123 reminds me of that on the nose 👃

Also had to play back to check that mash bill😋

I picked this one up today at MSRP. Had to buy a standard Larceny to get it. I haven't cracked my C922 yet but it kicks the shit out of B522.

Loved the C922. First Larceny barrel proof I picked up. Just got the A123 for $60. Have not opened yet but looking forward to it. If this is as good as the C bottle I'm in on each release moving forward.

Living in Pennsylvania and can only get the Larceny Barrel Proof via mail. Just got it today, however I got the B522. Never had the Barrel Proof before. Hopefully I'll like. I'm going to order another now.

Thank you for the review. For me the C922 was definitely superior to B522 (and I did like the B522). I have not yet had the opportunity to try the A123 but am looking forward to it!

Could you clarify or add another catagory for 'Buy...at MSRP'. I only ever see Larceny BP on secondary around here and I don't like the regular Larceny enough to drop 100 on it.

I picked up the A123 and I enjoyed I. As I was drinking it, I thought it could get me in trouble. It definitely doesn't drink like 125 proof

Saw it in Total Wine a cpl hours ago. Reviews said it drank hot so I passed.

I wonder how ECBP and Larceny BP would mix together.

And I just passed this up last week because of past Larceny BP…

Jason try blending Larceny A123 with ECBP A123. Pretty damn good. I think I prefer it over just the Larceny but the ECBP A123 on its own is better than the blend IMO

Nose was great on this one, fell flat on tha palate for me sadly.

Recommendation. A M&D series where you blind JD, EC, Larceny, and maybe a random 4th/5th BP every AB,C release. You as well as the audience majority enjoy the barrel proof range and I see this as a solid episode to look forward to. Thoughts?

Try blending A122 and B522 and put that against C922. No Joke!

Sounds pretty good. Butterscotch notes = yes please. C922 is just a steamroller of a bourbon. Tough to live up to that batch, especially for $60. That's the first Larceny I ever bought a backup for the bunker. So - up next is "guess the Paradiddle" game. First song is Meshuggah "bleed" right?!?!

I know you were looking out for the consumer, but I have paid $70-$80 for this bourbon and it has been just fine

I loved C921 but did not care for C922 at all. I didn’t like the sourness it had but just from reading the comments I’m wondering if I got a bad bottle 😔

I don't see how the Larceny doesn't blow away the EC a123. I have both and the Ec is very lack luster in flavor, the larceny is a flavor bomb in comparison.

I have been able to grab both of these. I agree, C922 was better. I get this toasted note that I really like from it. A123 is good, just not as good.

C922 was the first Larceny BP I purchased. After getting it home and tasting I went back and bought another bottle. This is from someone that generally doesn't care for wheated bourbons.

That musky wheater note is not appreciated. I’ve gotten over it to some degree, but wheaters def aren’t my fav bc of it. The makers stave series does a great job of hiding it.

Can you finally just own up to paying more for something instead of retail and seeming like somebody who is pretentious and will only pay retail for it? I love your reviews and everything, but nobody is finding it for 60 bucks. If we went by what you would actually pay for it, nobody would have bourbon in their house.

Please Bruh - Don't give secondary bottle price recommendations, it's a dirt bag's game. This stuff is worth it's MSRP and let's leave it at that.
