I like the makeover cos y show from design on paper stage which shows ur serious about your videos. Also the best part is that you don't add toooo much colour. Most Indian makeovers are filled with accessories and accents and too many colourful things. This was just apt. Colours thru plants. 👍
Thank you Aparajita, glad you liked it, I love the sketching out part as it helps me visualize the outcome and make changes before I invest in products... I think local culture plays a huge role in home decor and I personally love colour, but I guess in implementation one has to be careful to not overdo it from a focal attention persepective... but at the end of the day decor is something very personal and in doing up your own home there is no right or wrong as long as it makes you happy :)
Your balcony makeover is a stress reliever... It's compulsary especially during this pandemic time. To get lots of positive➕ vibes with greenery and color🎨 full mini garden.
@@NestArtfully yes...2daceds back...I used to stay on my own working girl..and I used to stay in an independent area at my landlords in Vasanth Nagar. I used to do a lot of interior Deco those days... Today I am a bust working person...get time mostly on Sundays 😀... So no deco for me .... just a bit of crafts i do with my moods😀😀😀😀👍
Hahah I'm still a very small content creator 😅 so I will think about doing a q and a video after I have more than a 2 month odd journey to share but feel free to ask me any questions you may have and I'll try my best to get back to you...💛
Loved ur aesthetic sense of arranging the different components...truly your zen space ...was literally felt...especially among the concrete space outside...lovely decor...
Thank you Farzana , so glad that zen feeling came through, and you currently observed the concrete surrounding, but of course, Singapore has the best biophilic design when it comes to urban landscaping, I'm inspired and in awe of it every day :)
That's a beautiful makeover 😍 we live in Singapore too. I'm really getting inspired by you to turn my house a home ☺️ Thanks so much for the ideas...❤️ Would've been helpful if you had added the product links in the description😉
Thank you very much! Glad you find the ideas useful! So, the deck tiles and grass tiles are both from Ikea, the rug from a seller on Carousell, rocking chairs second hand from Carousell and plants from Ikea and a few select sellers on Carousell, if you are interested in the plant links, please DM me on IG and I'll be happy to provide the same...
Well the grass and wood deck tiles are for outdoor purpose so no problem, the rug is a super thin one so we let it get wet it dries in a few hours after the rain stops and since it is just an acrylic material there is no damage... the plants also mostly stay out in the rain.. only other elements that can't be wet we bring in...
Welcome to RU-vid. Great channel. Loved the idea of balcony. Have same square balcony in my home like yours. Loved the idea of attaching the shelf to the railing. Will definitely try.
Both are available at Ikea known as Runnen Deck Tiles, but several brands make them and I think I may have given links to similar products on Amazon in the description do take a look 😊
I clean every week, by vacuuming and removing all dry leaves and flowers etc., then once every 3 months we remove all the tiles and give the balcony a through wash down :) No space looks as it does minus cleaning, I just feel motivated to clean when I know something lovely is hiding beneath all the mess :)
This is my first video and done very much as an absolute novice, I use the DaVinci Resolve free editing software that is absolutely brilliant and you can do a lot with it if you know editing or are willing to learn for newbies like me...but of course for the editing to do it's job the footage has to be good and we use the Canon M50 and so far we are in love with it ❤
I love when DIYers shift homes... We'll get to see more and more decor videos ❤️🥰 btw, isn't that coffee table the one you converted into the tile top table? 😊
Hahahah yes that's so true! No this was our first video on the channel and we hadn't purchased the Ikea coffee table yet, what you see in this video is the gladom table that we later did a decoupage DIY on for the bedroom.
Wowwwwwww❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ dear, it's amazing! Want to know about journey from india to Singapore! Make video on that also...one more thing to ask, how did u manage to keep ur home so neat inspite of Lil child? Best luck for the you tube journey from your wellwisher!
Haha, sure thing maybe a video on that someday :) My home does not look like in the videos at all times, my kid actually likes to keep things rather clean, but house gets into a big mess, we try to keep organizing but on many days we just chill amidst the mess lol!
Thank you so much Aparna, glad you liked it! The tiles are Deck Tiles from Ikea (product called Runnen) But you can search deck tiles on Amazon, I see plenty of designs at diff price ranges :)
Oh yes it does when the weather is bad, the furniture and other decor items are able to take the elements but the plants we move closer to the inside of the balcony, thankfully most of them are hardy tropical variety and they withstand the wind and rain well 👌 😌 cleaning we end up doing a deep clean once a month... and smaller sessions every week.
Yes, dining space, bedroom, living , entryway, corridor & kitchen, all makeover videos are coming up, do subscribe and press the bell icon to stay notified :)
I buy everything currently locally here in Singapore, which is why I don't give links as they won't be relevant to anyone not residing here. But I've checked and usually similar if not the exact products are often available on Amazon or Flipkart. Hope this helps!
Under the astro turf was the planter box so the water drained away easily, the carpet would dry super quick and the deck tiles and furniture (plastic and metal) was all left as it is... we would do a through cleaning once in 1 to 2 months :)
I purchased them here in Singapore. You can search artificial grass (or) astro turf on both Amazon and Flipkart I see several options you can choose from. For the ottoman please check 'bamboo pouf' on Flipkart I see the exact same design, on Amazon there are several lovely designs as well, happy shopping!
It is a super thin 'faux' rug so it gets wet but also dries super fast , anything thick with actual weave or pile cannot be used outdoors like this, however there are a range of materials specifically used in outdoor rugs you can check that if looking to buy :)
Found this when I was looking for reviews and demos on decking tiles from ikea. Love this! Can I find out how you deal with strong winds and your plants staying in place? I live on the 7th floor and used to have plants but the winds are too strong.
It does get bad sometimes and we bring in the plants that are prone to falling, or we place them between the chairs and the wall when we can.. takes quite a bit of maintaining as well....not the easiest but I cannot live with plants in the house
Purchased everything locally here in Singapore :) All tiles at Ikea, carpet and rocking chairs on Carousell and plants varying sellers on and off carousell.
Heheh we only took this house because they have a thin grill work from floor to roof called invisible railing across the balcony ... its what the morning glory is using as support to grow on... lots of high rise homes in SG have this safety feature 😊
