Having a coffee tree has been a delight for me. They really don't require much in the way of keeping them happy. If you have an area in your home, or if your house doesn't receive much light a coffee tree is perfect for you. The only thing these trees require aside from a little bit more humidity than most plants is a decent sized container to grow up in. Trees that remain in the same size container will not have enough room, or nutrients and will eventually plateau. As your trees ages they'll need more room to spread out, mostly below the soil. Be sure to watch the entire video so you can learn how to keep your coffee tree happy and healthy! Plant Prudently!

That's a great looking coffee tree! I got a tiny pot with a cluster of coffee seedlings about 2 years ago and divided them up. I've now got 3 happy coffee trees in individual pots. Not as big as yours, but maybe around 12" tall. They're a totally underrated houseplant. I never see full-grown coffee plants for sale at the nurseries which is a shame because they're gorgeous. Big, green, fleshy leaves and the possibility of growing a little coffee fruit some day - Very cool IMO. What you said about them not growing once they're a little root-bound is totally true in my experience as well. Mine completely stopped growing until I learned how fussy they are about container space. It's good for those who want a small plant in limited space I suppose, but I want mine to be a decent size. I love your videos, man! Keep up the great work.

Yeah, I wish I would have split mine up. Now I'm gonna end up with a rather large bush. Oh well, as long as I get the flowers and fruit I'm good. It would have been nice to get six trees for the price of one. Yes, I'm right there with you on them being an underrated houseplant! I suppose their affinity to humidity has been why most growers don't have luck with the tree. Otherwise, I'd say they are very easy plants to care for. Yeah if someone wanted to keep it and they didn't have too much room for it, as long you prune the plant back (both above and below the soil) you can keep it in the same container and location for years. It would just plateau. I just love the foliage and the size of this tree. Thanks for checking out my channel man, it's great to hear from my viewers! Plant Prudently!

Hello I just watched your video. Thanks. My coffee tree is about 6 yes old, growing fine in a 6 in pot. Today I noticed there are white blooms on a branch and buds on other branches. I’m so excited!!!!

That's cool. I found mine at Meijer and I just stumbled upon it. I'm glad I did, though looking back I wish I would have separated them. Now I'll have a large coffee bush. I love the foliage too!

It would be great if you should zoom on the bags so it would make novice gardeners like myself to spot products easier when shopping for supplies. Thanks!

Anytime I use a tool or any medium I always try and say what it is and who it's made by (for the medium). I have links in every video for the tools, I'll try and do one for all the different kinds of potting mixtures I use too, so this would be more clear. You should be able to click on the links to see the products. Let me know if you are ever not clear on anything I ever say!

We just bought a coffee tree plant and I think my husband loves it more than he loves me, lol. It was really interesting watching the journey of this plant. Did you wind up moving it to a bigger and final pot? Great tips in these videos; thank you!

Ever tried to grow red mangroves? They are easy to grow and best to get them as propagules so they can acclimate to whatever water you give them.

My coffee plant leafs look like they are covered with a thin layer of dust. I tried method mixing lemon juice with water, although after leafs dried out there's still a thin layer of dust. Is there a way to make leafs look glossy ?

All natural Need oil (water mixed/read Intructions) will make them shine and keeps spider mites away

Mix neem oil with water and wipe the leaves. It protects them from bugs, heals them and also makes them shiny.

Wondering why you didn't clear the table to have enough space to work with and just laid out what you would need for the job so you could do the transplanting in a plain view instead of having to maneuver around other things to reach down to the floor (?)

I love showing my plants off. Aside from Instagram and a little bit on Facebook, this is mainly how I do it. Plus it helps me from always having to do an update video on every single plant I own, which is a bunch, trust me. I can just put them on the table so they can see them and how they're doing growth-wise. Anytime I do anything off-camera, including dumping the old dirt, I explain exactly what I'm doing for the laymen. I'll try and keep a close eye on the congestion in the future.

!!!!Keep away from PUPPIES AND CHILDREN!!!! EVEN crazy cats may try to eat the leaves. Another plant leaves to NEVER let them chew on: tomatoes! *mainly dogs* There are mainly types that are in the Nightshade family. Please do you research, to know how to keep you pet and children safe.
