This video shows Eco-Panels of Tennessee installing SIPS panels.
www.ecopanelsof...
Eco-Panels are SIP panels. A SIP (Structural Insulated Panel) is an engineered product used to form a structural wall or roof components in residential or commercial applications and is used in place of conventionally “stick framed” construction. A SIP is generally a structural inner and outer skin with foam insulation in between that is “fused” together to provide not only the structure of the wall/roof but also provide superior insulating qualities. SIP products have been around for many years and are recognized as building code compliant.
That being said, what is an Eco-Panel specifically?
Eco-Panels are a SIP product made in Tennessee at our manufacturing facility in Clay County. At Eco-Panels we go beyond the standard SIP product and create a better system to build a better house.

I believe this was around a couple thousand square feet, and yes, it was completed in part of one day.

Was this done in one day? What was the cost of all the panels? Is there additional video's on this home?

Just realized we missed this question, our apologies. Yes, this was completed in one day. We don't post pricing on YT, but if you would like to email us (info@ecopanelsoftn.com) or give us a call, we'd be happy to talk about your home plans and give you a range on cost. We build panels custom to owner's home plans. Unfortunately, this is the only video of this specific project, but we have several others on the channel. Thank you!

@@EcoPanelsofTennessee A panel that has a aluminum foil sheet covering it would be great for fire protection. I'm wondering how long a torch would take to burn through to the wood?

Surprised I don't see many electrical outlets in panels.

We work with customers or their GC / electrician to map out the exterior electrical needs and embed conduit and boxes in our manufacturing process. The panels are pretty easily modified as well, so if additional electrical is needed or was overlooked, in most cases additional electrical can be placed in the panels on-site. Appreciate your comment!

Why does it take 5 men to "frame"? Three extra men could cost $120 to $240 more per hour. Labor is expensive. It only had taken two men to "stick frame" our home last time we built.

Good observation. However, it doesn't. This was something we realized after filming. Basically we had more people on-site for the filming than we needed. For the most part, 2-3 are just standing around the whole time. It's really handy to have 3 and that's probably where you make the best time, but 2 people can handle the process easily. When you have 3, that third person is getting the next panel in place. Good eye. Overall, you should save significantly on labor.

Hola! Usan clavos o tornillos? Cuáles? Cada cuántas pulgadas en el perímetro? Saludos desde Argentina.

We don't speak Spanish so I used Google Translate and it gave your questions as: Hello! Do they use nails or screws? Which is it? Every how many inches around the perimeter? Greetings from Argentina. I'll reply first in English, then post what Google Translate gave me as well. Hopefully that helps: You can use nails or screws, your choice. For most project it's 8D Sinkers Nails or #10 1 1/2" Screws, both at 6" O/C. This can vary should engineering on a specific project require something different. Puedes utilizar clavos o tornillos, tu elección.

How much more than traditional frame and insulation?
@EcoPanelsofTennessee
@EcoPanelsofTennessee 4 месяца назад
Generally, a few percent of the overall budget, but it depends on codes where you live and labor costs, so it can vary a great deal. In some areas of the country right now it's just as affordable to build with our panels as the hoops and hurdles builders have to go through to meet energy codes. Most of our customers see a ROI within the first few years from their energy bill savings. After that, it's money saved every month. That's now a $ per square foot answer of course, because that's almost impossible to do and represent everyone that could be reading this. Shoot us a plan, and we'll shoot back an estimate.

I like the concept and am considering using sips for an ADU project coming up. Are you guys interested in giving me a bid?

Did you get your bid? Where are you building the ADU? I live in Bay Area. ADU from scratch cost a fortune.

INTALATION ELECTRIC AND PLUMBING???
@EcoPanelsofTennessee
@EcoPanelsofTennessee 11 месяцев назад
Here's a video addressing electrical: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6OiwvxQT1Do.html Plumbing really shouldn't be installed in exterior walls, as determined by most codes. Penetrations are generally not a problem if needed, but even still, those should be located through a foundation or subfloor joist band where possible. We mention plumbing in a couple videos, but do not have one dedicated to it. Since Eco-Panels are only used for the exterior walls, interior plumbing is no different than any other house as it's ran through typical 2x framing. Hope that helps. Thanks for hte question.
