There are many plants in India belonging to Korean companies like Samsung Kia Hyundai Daewoo LG etc which are normally headed by Koreans themselves. This in addition to IT industry .

Christian missionaries are typically given a special Visa or permit to work in the country for a specific period of time with the expectation they will return home after said permit expires or at such time they get a permit/visa renewed to stay longer.

They might came for research or studies or for work reasons some settle in the national capital. Also foreign tourists settle in Goa there are many Russians in Goa legal and illegal.
