@@BeachJazzMusic I don't think it's a good idea to start comparing great players. They are both fantastic musicians, but what Lari 'lacks' in technique she makes up with great feel. I don't think any living guitar player can compare with GG though, he's just too awesome.

Bingo... Vinnie Colaiuta and Jeff Porcaro! Lari is amazing... lyrical, melodic, chops, phrasing. There are so many technically proficient players out there, and yet so FEW that can pull it together and be called "extremely musical"... Lari is there.

Jut found Lari after her session with the Martin Millar band, as a long time fan of Satch since the 90's I hear so much of his phrasing and control in her playing, so many tricks and runs in her bag to pull from but it's all about the tone and the pacing of delivery, never the shredfest which she's clearly capable of. Lovely, lovely songwriting and playing from her and the band!

I am nearly 43. A couple of years ago, had you asked me my all time favorite guitarists, the list would have included players i had known of for years. Brian may, Mark knopfler, Tommy Emmanuel, hendrix, stevie ray, jeff healey. Those type of people. Now i unhesitatingly add this woman to that list. True magic happens every time she plays.

At first I though this gentleman was drumming so good, with a crazy groove. Than I got he was Vinnie with some gained weight. I got shocked but I'm happy to see him healthy and groovy as usual! Alien player.
