I just can't hear any of these as drum solos anymore. No matter how hard I try my brain is convinced that the music was written first and the drummers are just playing along to the track. Its baffling. Such an incredible achievement.

Again, that unmistakable Alastair uncanny valley thing he does, where it sounds like he was in the goddamn room with the drummer, only just playing all the instruments, but also somewhere in the head of the drummer trying to figure what they must have been playing in there too ! I feel like the instrument choice is reminiscent of Snarky and the style of gospel that Larnell plays, so this feels like it fits him perfectly. Maybe a touch more dark than songs he picks for clinics or tracks he's played through on Drumeo but this still feels like it fits him beautifully. Amazing job as always, man
