That buzzer beater vs Phoenix is the famous “I told you so” story. He told Phoenix “Yeah, I’m fixing to bust a 3 on you guys and go home, I’m tired of this”. He caught the pass right in front of the Phoenix bench, hits an absolutely SICK buzzer beater , then points at the the Suns bench and says “I told you so”.

It's always amazing to see how fluid he was in shooting the ball. For a guy that big,it was like watching poetry in motion, a ballerina if you will. Only other player that had the same quick feet was Hakeem Olajuwan.

The thing that I'm sure we all loved about Larry bird? He would trash talk like mofo, then teams realized he wasn't trash talking. He was gonna kick your ass and he did it too everybody. Nobody can ever doubt that of Larry Bird.

I’d like to preface this by saying that I played basketball in NYC in an all black high school and got my nick name from the brothers playing at The Cage and at Rucker Park. We were all trying to emulate what Larry bird was doing on the playground and it was impossible for us. However, I remember hearing what Pat Riley said, “If I had to choose a player to take a shot to save a game, I’d choose Michael Jordan, but if I had to choose a player to take a shot to save my life, I’d take Larry Bird."

He may not have been able to fly like MJ, but dont let anybody ever say he wasnt athletic. Larry Legend did things with a 2" vertical that shouldn't be possible.

Luka literally did this 0:50 in the playoffs when he had passed to Lively. In my opinion, people can say Edwards is the next coming of MJ if they want. But if that’s the case, Luka is the next coming of Larry Bird.

Look, Jordan is the absolute GOAT. But if you can give Bird all that he had and give him Jordan's athleticism, I would have to give the edge to Bird. He really is that close to Jordan.

Larry Bird is above Jordan in my opinion. He was a better shooter, a far better passer, a better rebounder, minimum equal at freethows and clutchier than MJ. On top he was the best trash talker ever. Added to all this he swept him twice in the playoffs. I cannot see MJ above him.

Michael Jordan is better than bird in zero ways. Bird is the GOAT hands down. Jordan himself admits that bird was the GOAT. Still does.
