I watched the first episode of Curb and I didn't like it, but then I realized that Larry's character (Larry???) seems to get karma (not instant, but eventually) for every bad thing he does. Now I really enjoy the show.
If he does, I'll be convinced that this whole thing is a bit, and Larry is now going out doing media appearances as the Larry David character from Curb Your Enthusiasm.
The puppeteer (the person whose hand/arm Larry David grabbed) could file an assault charge. But that won’t happen because Larry David is worth $500 million and has HBO behind him. Regular people who go on stage and grab performers are arrested.
I wonder if Larry has considered the irony of Elmo talking about keeping good mental health getting him so worked up that he walked on camera and throttled him.
I still can't believe that Larry David throttling Elmo was a thing that happened on the real Today Show and wasn't just a clip from Curb. It's only February and we've already had the greatest comedy moment of the year.
Huge Kudos to Seth Meyers here at 3:49. Being able to to pivot the conversation while carrying it. On the spot. Beautiful. Seth Meyers really is great.
I think Seth has the soul of an old Jewish man living inside him that wakes up when Larry comes around and that's why they play off of each other so well 😂
Elmo, one of my fav characters in Sesame Street, I want to say, I hope ur doing ok, and I hope ur friends down the street support u well and bring joy to u every day.❤❤❤❤❤
That part about the name Larry cracked me up. I listen to a podcast hosted by a pro skateboarder with a female cat named Larry, and IMO, it's the best cat name ever, haha.
I love that Seth normally goes way out of his way to be kind and considerate to all of his guests... except Larry. Not because he doesn't like Larry. Nay, on the contrary: Seth loves him, and so Seth understands that Larry prefers it...rough.
Strike Force Five. Wasn't that the all-female crime-fighting team that got a TV pilot but was never produced? I remember one of the women had awesome knife-fighting skills? And each of the other ones had a speciality, too. Or am I just imagining all this?
@SpiffEatWorld Spiff, I was once a member of SFF and every ... single ... time I try to wear a cape - even now - people expect me to fight crime. It was never easy, but it's what we did to keep you safe. You're welcome! 😊
I've been watching Larry since he was on "Fridays" back in the day...love him! Also love how these two seem to enjoy each other and can get the other one to laugh! ❤
Can we have another movie like Elmo in Grouchland where this guy is the main antagonist? If he wants to do it again, that would be an epic childrens movie lol
Larry David is the perfect example of someone who does not have any f*** left to give. The Elmo thing was bizarre but in brand with Larry not caring what others think. Old age, extreme success and more money that he could spend the rest of your life will do that to you.
