If you didn't just randomly GUESS the order, doing the challenge is great. Part of the challenge is asking Larry for part of the order, then later finding out he is the gym leader. I loved experiencing that. Best gym leader in this game.
He was the first person to give me a clue, then when I fought the kids outside for clues, something sank in - an idea that that guy might be the gym leader, and I was right. XD
16:18 Josh and Cotton were asking if the viewers/fans wanna be their hype squad, and the first thing I pictured is the hype squad of trainers that already have a full level 100 party
I've already beaten the Normal gym and watching this, with every single answer I was like: "There's no way. There's no way he's getting this thing first try" 😂😂😂
If i had a nickel for every time i witnessed someone correctly guessing the secret order for the gym challange first try, i‘d have two nickels, wich isnt alot but its weird that its happened twice. Also holy shoot
Honestly the Lunch special gym challenge was the best one, it took some thought and some clever uses of menu and interaction. It took me longer because I kept ordering grilled rice balls at the ice cream stand because I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong lol
I was searching for about 10 minutes straight an ice cream stand in a random place in town. XD (Because I interpreted the hint as (in Japanese version) "an outcast ice cream stand")
You were missing out a lot the solving the clue part is the most fun out of 8 gyms and the feeling of not knowing Larry was a gym leader and he suddenly stood up and fought you. It was like gym leader the best entrance. Though I had my sus that he was has to do something with the gym, but i wasnt sure. I even remember his name and his city when I literally forgot about everyone else. lol
Did you know that Naclstack is also called "salt stack"? NaCl is the chemical formula for salt. edit: the way that titan Orthworm's mouth opened and closed with Josh's reaction was uncanny, although Josh likely timed it to be that way.
My goodness, whenever you two talk about real life things, i get flashbacks from the olden days. I was reminded of this because i forgot about Josh's obsession with sipping raw lemon juice, good to know that's still present!
I didn't take a great team in to fight Larry -- then realized a _bit_ too late that half my team had a weakness to Water (which Nemona's starter completely exploited). The only thing that saved me was that my ghost dog evolved, and tanked a hit well enough to land a "Last Requests" at an effective _300 power level_ (i.e. stronger than Explosion!).
Thinking about it, going back to the school after the project is over is gonna be hilarious. Clavell: "What treasure did you find Joey?" Joey: "I found a really cool Rattata!" Clavell: "Very good. And you Billy?" Billy: "I got a shiny Pokemon!" Clavell: "Very impressive. May? How about you?" May: "I found a cool meteorite fragment!" Clavell: "Very original, impressive. And you Josh?" Josh: "I beat Team Star, all of the Titan Pokemon, became the Pokemon champion, AND befriended a legendary Pokemon, get on muh level peasants!"
I have to admit, the moment that Cotten 'changed the channel' was absolutely brilliant editing. Still having an absolute blast with this. Looking forward to the next one.
I started these pro/noob pokemon videos an hour ago and got to this one, I was fighting the false dragon titan at the exact same time and finished at the same time and read "koraidon can climb verticle surfaces now" as Josh yelled "oh yeah climb that makes sense" lol
I truly believe they made the flying tera balloons just so that we can have the nod to the Pokemon Yellow title card and nothing is going to convince me otherwise.
Lol. I’m here for being part of your hype squad. I have 36-40 level 100 pokemon with hyper training. I love you guys’ videos. Having a blast watchingvthem
Dudunsparce is a top-tier evolution. I laughed so hard when I first found the super rare Pokémon people where talking about in Pokemon Crystal when I was a child. Damn, I laughed harder when I first saw Dudunsparce. Dudusparce outdunced Dunsparce. XD
The pokedex is amazing for those two. The little fish is described as being one of the smartest dragon types. The bjg fish is described as being really dumb but loyal to its leader
They did the balloon for flying because of balloon Pikachu no other reason. And balloon Pikachu is the only Pikachu able to fly and is based of a rare Pokémon trading card
It’s like fighting Deadpool in Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions XD “Now you have to face my army! And by army I mean camera crew, and by camera crew I mean unpaid interns, and by unpaid interns I mean fans… you hear that Spidey? You have to face my fans!” Spider-Man: … lamest… supervillain… ever!
Ayyyyyy we got Cotton-Vision to see how his fight went; nice to see both battles =) I wish you could hear MY reaction Josh, as you picked the options lmao
So Cotton mentioned it in his top 10 power mons video, but watching Salt Cure in action is insane. They absolutely trivialize 2 titans to the point of taking them on a dozen levels below the game's curve without notable stuggle
I feel like it was a missed opportunity to have the Salty Herba Mystica instead be Dry to make the flavors something of a call back to the days of contests.
tatsugiri come in three forms: Curly (redish orange), Droopy (Pink), and Stretchy (yellow) legendarys are a species, theres just one of them that is literraly a god, theres a god rayquaza and a god koraidon but there are still other koraidon and rayquaza that ARENT gods and are just super powerful pokemon, legends and mythicals are species
