Josh: "Aw, she's pretty cute." Grusha: "Well...I'm actually a-" Josh: "isn't she cute, Cotton?" Cotton: "Yes, she's very cute." Grusha: "I'm flattered, but I'm not a-" Josh: "Alright, Miss Gym Leader! Show me what you got!" Grusha: "god damn it..."
30:40 *in an alternate timeline* Josh:“Kilowattrel is the play here. Ground doesnt affect me, im advantaged againts the water.“ *electric move doesnt affect Whiscash* Josh:“oh yeah ground“ Cotton:“looks like you dont affect ground either“
She’s a teacher, that uses Fighting types, at the psychic gym, you’re not fighting her. 17:04 her sister is your math teacher Ms. Tyme. At most she replaced the T with an R 20:57 the classes give you rewards. Exp candy, quests, tera shards, pokemon, protein, and friendship. 26:40 he, he is male. 30:59 female, her, women. Honestly I only know these because I saw a glimpse of the drama surrounding the designs.
@@XxTheCupidKidxX you think I read, in pokemon game? I watch dub, that should answer any further questions you may ask. Plus like I mentioned to Cancer, I meant remember not know.
Breaks my heart that he didn’t know that the assistant to the gym leader is the schools combat teacher. I think the school lessons are really neat, they are interesting and open up some interesting character development for the teachers.
@@TheUfaraV2 I do agree, should've been more obvious, because it does have nice rewards. Tons of exp candies early, not to mention Raifort revealing the four legendaries of ruin. Also loads of tips for anyone new to Pokemon and some its more intricate systems.
In response to Josh not thinking the dark terastelizing crystal not fitting. In Japanese the dark type is literally the "evil" typing so that evil looking face is rather fitting in my opinion. Could they have chosen something else to represent the concept of evil? Sure I suppose but keeping things simple is often best in a game aimed for kids.
>Are told Grusha is a man >Refer to grusha as a man >As soon as they see grusha they start referring to him as "she" and "Miss" You were so close. >Does the opposite with Rika
@@MercuryAlphaInc makes me wonder what the anime will be like. Sure because of their being no voice actors in game I can call the characters whatever I like , same for the cards. But once you hear the anime voice actors there will be no doubt what their intentions are. To me it feels like their trying to appeal to the west waaaaay to hard with this game and it's on many levels besides the gender stuff. To me this game shows their opinion of what they think westerners are like. For example I've never seen a school that was so inclusive that children and adults attend together, I thought that was creepy when I saw it in game. But maybe they think that's how we roll. I'm having fun with the game in general though despite this new direction.
@@MercuryAlphaInc I mean feminine male pretty boy is a pretty standard Anime trope, I mean you can't swing a stick without hitting one in Anime circles...
Josh....that ghost tera is a reference to the ghost sprites of red, that feature heavely in a pokemon creepypasta classic, i me self liked the reference
26:32 Cotton seems to be under a Speed Tie situaion alot or pokemon are useing moves that lower his speed or boosting there own without him noticing lol
i love how they entirely miss that she tells them shes a teacher at the academy shes the battle training teacher one of the cooler teachers in my opinion i want a pair of her gloves but cant find them anywhere
or a vs cagelocke, both of them usually come up with some pretty fun build in monhun and id love to see them bring that creativity into somethin like a cagelocke
my team is complete: Skeledirge, Salamence, Vaporeon, Tinkaton, Eelektross and Baxcalibur. all gyms, Titans and Star bases conquered; just need to train... a lot. Here's a tip. Scarlet and Violet added a neat trick: you can teach pokemon any move they forgot - no Move Tutor required, let alone a Heart Scale! All you have to do is go to the pokemon's summary, check its moves and press A and go to "remember move". But do you know what makes this feature insanely useful? You can do that with TMs. Yes you heard me right and yes it's *exactly* what it sounds like: even if you delete a TM, your pokemon can remember it without having to use another TM disk! Just go to its summary, check its moves, press A ("remember move") and you'll find the TM move! You could teach your pokemon a PLETHORA of moves and *mix-and-match between them* at ANY time you want! I hope the franchise keeps this trait forever.
Love how someone actually has a leg to stand on when it comes to complaining about Josh spamming items because no trainer uses items during the battle at all in this game.
the ice gym leader quit snowboarding because of an injury ryme is only the gym leader because her sister decided to be the math teacher at the accademy who was originally a rock gym leader
I can not wait for you guys to finish the team star quest line. The final boss of that has the same team idea (though slightly different) as my team on my first run of sword. And I will say no more to not spoil anything important.
You guys just completely missed this generation's Pseudo-legendary by ignoring the Cave Route up the mountain and just climbing it. A shame too. Baxcaliber is awesome.
Every gym leader in the series has a second occupation, except Janine, Koga’s daughter, I believe. Either that or Wulfric from Kalos. Janine is also the only gym leader to never be featured in the anime
It definitely felt obvious to me, especially since she was never around/on screen during Cassiopeia's calls and would ask what we thought of her or Team Star in general whenever she met up with us after defeating a base
