Wow fascinating story of how Elvis debuted in vegas. His performances shaped the future of all vegas performers that followed. He got mixed reviews which is no surprise. Great research to get all of those reviews and testimonies.
Hey GG. Yes, very interesting and informative. I have ALWAYS loved Elvis. However, my 12th birthday was bittersweet because Elvis died that day. Every year thereafter, they always ran marathons of his movies and played his songs all day on the radio. Still missed him, but that helped me remember him and smile. *Another little tidbit... My first time ever in a casino (on my birthday), I put one token in a machine and hit a bonus. An Elvis pig sang and danced his way across the screen and I won $386.00. I felt like Elvis was with me that night 😍
I can’t wait. Your work is always wonderful 👍😻🍀. Can you do something on mobster David Berman? He ran the El Cortez after Bugsy & lived right down the street from the casino. His house still stands & I drive by. His daughter happened to be killed by serial killer Durst.
Thanks Kissy Kat. I am tentatively planning on doing the history of the El Cortez this November, which would include Berman's role in the casino. Here is the live show Elvis did at the New Frontier on May 6, 1956: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Du_hUUdmO14.html
@@VegasVisual Lady Las Vegas book was written by Susan Berman. It has pics of Liberace singing at her bday party as a child. Her dad new everyone. I gave the book to Adam the El Cortez manager. 👍😻
