Thanks for your helpful videos Clara! I just received a 1000W fiber laser cutting machine from China, and am a complete beginner with fiber laser. I have subscribed and will come back to your channel often, I'm sure!
I've been looking for something like this for a long time. One of my biggest issues is bubbling of the film. I have tried different setting but i'm just guessing. Thank you.
Hi Clara.. Thankyou your best video,. I have problem : laser head raycus, laser focus always down to -15, (Alarm : Axis 4limit- & Axis 4soft limit+) Could you explain how to solve this alarm problem? Thank you Clara.. 🙏
Hi miss clara. I have 1,5Kw Laser fiber with manual focus cutting head. How to get good cutting in Carbon steel thickness 8mm and 10mm?How to set cut and pierce parameters with manual focus cutting head? Thankyou for your help.
Hi Clara I have very important question please answer me : - you said in this video need in piercing negative fucose if need to cutting mild steel you said need positive fucose if we have manual fucose head like bt240s What should we do in this situation? Thanks
Hi 👋🏻 I stumbled upon your video while i was looking for answer to simple question. If i set for example focus from cutting surface at 2cm or 10cm how this will affect cutting. From my understanding focus line will be longer at longer distances but what happens to power of average 5w(optical output) fiber laser?
Hello Clara. We have a 3kW fiber laser and currently setting up parameters to cut 12.7mm carbon steel with oxygen. Currently my focus height is set at .138 and my kerf is considerbly larger at bottom of cut. I would think my focus height should be lower as in half the thickness of material. Am i thinking correctly? Also my oxygen pressure setting is cuttently set at 2.5 bar. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the videos.
Hello Clara, good evening from Mexico I have a 1000W FIBER LASER, I am cutting 3/8" carbon steel with compressed air and I want to change to oxygen, can you help me with parameters of cutting speed, height, gas pressure, focus adjustment and what nozzle to use?
I work with a Bystronic and we cut at a 3000w 3/8” HRS_O2_0.375_7.5 Focal either at 3 or 4 Speed aka cutting parameters 56 Pierce speed 38 Micro joints speed 1.389 This is how we’d adjust it for that specific metal and with a NK 12-15 or 15-15 nozzle head. 7.5 laser head.
Im using 3000k when finish cutting then checking difference from top of the parts and bottom 1mm difference in size,,,checking by caliper top area 49mm bottom is 48mm?kindly help for improving the quality of my work tnx madam...
Hi Clara, what do you think is the main reason why there is a lot of dross or slag under the parts that i cut? Is it because of the focus point setting or the cutting speed.thanks
Hi.I have a problem.I work on 3000w laser cutting machine.I had dross under the part ,its like saw shape. I don't know how to set the machine parameters.
Hi, I’m cutting on 3,000w laser and I’m cutting .25” aluminum. My power is set to 100%, focal position is .3 and my height is .016. My pressure for N2 is 116. I keep getting a burr. What would you recommend I set my laser to so I can get a better cut?
I cutting by 1500W with carbon steel 1.5mm. still found some slag under piece , I set up power at 30% , cutting hight 0.025 , speed 4.5 m/min , focus 0.25 , gas pressure 4 bar , do you have any suggestion ?
hi there why will my cut line be wider after changing collimation lens.? it seems my focus might be out but this is a auto focus head..... please assist
Greetings. I have an issue . I operate 500W laser cutting machine with Nozzle of 1.5mm to cut 1.2mm stainless steel sheet. The small pieces of steel are not getting cut and rather are being welded at a place. Please help me to determine focus
Hey I just got a job at that requires 1.2mm S/S. Im getting the same problem. Did you manage to figure out how to fix the problem? Its also damaging the lense
@@jade4781 i consulted like 8 engineers and all i know is either the source is getting weaker or the laser tube in head is supposed to be cleaned. Try changing focus 1st, then check all 4,5 lenses and increase air pressure and if still the problem occurs then its definetly problem in source or head.
Thank you Clara so much for the wonderfull videos. I was wondering about focal position and cutting height. When we set focal position to 0, then it is focused on the surface of the plate, regardless of the cutting height?. For example cutting height 10mm and focus 0, and cutting height 3mm and focus 0, will focus the laser beam the same on the plate surface? Does the software make the calculations so that the spot will be at the plate surface or we must do this every time?
@@geast67 The cutting height, which is also called the nozzle height. It will affect the air coupling and cutting result directly. If too close to the workpiece, the lens will exhibit a strong return pressure, so that weaken the spread of dispersion capability and clearance quality, and even possible collision between nozzle and workpiece. If too far away, it will cause unnecessary power loss, not helping in cutting through. Generally, I suggest the nozzle height from 0.5mm-1.5mm.
@@ClaraChai So when i set the focus position to zero i always focus on the surface of the material, no matter where the nozzle height is? Is that correct?
Hi , I have question. Whenever I start my machine first in a day I have cutting focus issue. Like if I swich off machine last in a day with a job remaining in sheet. And then start next day morning with same settings and parameter then the cutting burr generated and focus doesn't meet. After some changes and again swich off the machine then I found correct cut with same that previous settings.. what is that issue. .. can you help me. ?
We have the same problem and I found out that the Z axis had to be calibrated each morning. If your Z axis gap is not consistent the focal point will be off. In our case it took a few cuts before it settled down.
