No you have access to the tippy boats, you just have to sit on one side as hard and far out as you can

If you want a truly "tippy boat", then get a Catalina Capri Cyclone... OMG!, it won't even stay up on it on!!! 😳😬🫢🫢🫢 I had one for several years and sort from it being obsessively twitchy it is a fine bay or lake boat... lake boat, as in JOE SHOULD NOT TAKE IT OUT IN THE OPEN WATERS...🙈🙈🙈 Anyway, it's many times more tippy than the flat bottom Laser! 👍

He's just roll tacking and gybing. This is done in light winds for more speed out of the turn.

You must not realize the difference between racing sailing and regular sailing. Biggg difference. Every little thing counts when you’re racing a laser. Down to how much you weigh

Can I ask for some advice with the optis? Im 15 and I sail both 420s and optis. I have a problem with the boom of the opti catching my back while im tacking/ gybing and getting caught on the lifejacket. Ive spoken with other opti sailors and they say I'm tacking correctly and as close to the ground as possible but i still end up getting caught. Any ideas?

I reckon the key to a roll tack on practically any boat is just to move slow /w rudder 1st halve pull your shoulders when the sail is crossing and then cross over just as the sail comes for you

You actually don’t need that much heel in the initial roll. You want to keep your center/dagger board in the water to prevent side-slip.

@@laserDN si pero en San Francisco, California. Tambien soy socio de un club que tienen veleros, windsurfing, kite e hydrofoil. Yo hago vela y ocasionalmente windsurf. Los botes que mas usamos son los RS Quest. Tambien vi correr SailGP, AC 45 y 75 que esos son espectaculares.
