I do feel bad for Kitley. Anyone who's competed knows that this kind of senior-year injury is a brutal heartbreak. That said, VT hid the nature of her injury to try to hedge a hosting seed, and that wasn't fair to another school. If you follow the game, you know Kitley is 60% of their team; VT just isn't the same without her. This was a smoke-and-mirrors #4 seed.
Come on!! It's done all the time. It's as fair as the rest of the way that other teams play the system. VT lost by three points to the 5 seed. It could have gone either way. Smoke-and-mirrors my ass.
Everyone plays the game, ND did it last year. I'm not sure why VT should be the only suckers in the tournament. It was a great game I would say they earned their home court advantage. Good luck to Baylor.
Michigan fan, but we need a new coach. As a result, VT was my pick in the tournament but when Kitley went down I knew it was a quick exit, just too much was evaporated from that team.
In these tournaments, I've never seen it fail. The TEAM that wants it most is (1)quicker to the lose ball (2) makes their free throws (3) Keeps their cool (Doesn't constantly whine about the refs (4)Respects their opponent, but NEVER feels overwhelmed. And they are the TEAM that wins the tournament. Never see it fail yet.
@@TheTigah I didn't know about her injury, but the way they were playing at the end of the season. They weren't trending in the right direction like last season.
