With the release of 0.9, I wanted to update the Build Planner with some changes, I'll try to make an updated video in the coming week to go over this. Playstyle doesn't change with this patch, some nice QoL from transplant changes.
Gear on this build planner is not top end with crazy LP uniques, but a more realistic gearing of what you can get with some decent farming time.

Note 1 Reaper form is not spec'd, but it is on the skill bar. Reason for this is you still get the 2nd life from reaper form just by putting the skill on the bar, and by doing so, this allows for spec'ing into Hungering souls for more single target damage. You lose the Reap move skill as a tradeoff... but I think its worth, you can play around with it.
Note 2 Bone curse is not on the bar, because it now casts on transplant, and since you take cursed limbs node, you'll have full uptime on bone curse with even just 4 points investment and not 5 (once you have some cdr)

What would you use for a budget setup till you can handle empowered monoliths?

You can use just lower tier versions of the build planner I have, so instead of having exalt items, you will just get like tier 5 or as high tier as you can. As for Marina's lost soul, you wont have access to that until lvl 78 area, so it can start dropping anywhere after the Emperor timeline. As for Grimoire, it can drop as early as act 1, so it's typically not too difficult to get (unless you have bad rng like me!). Overall you can run this build the way it's setup with no uniques or exalts, and that would be your 'budget' version. Hope that helps!

Started playing Last Epoch in earnest after the 0.9 patch dropped. I decided to make your build for my 3rd character, and I have to say that it is really fun. I am still working on getting some 5-stat items and all that but it is going extremely well. Awesome build, thanks!

Thanks for the build guide and explanations!! How does Ruptured Corpse node of Bone Curse hit for good damage without this being converted to necrotic?

When you are in reaper and death seal, all your dmg types go up and not only necrotic. That node is just a bonus, its not main dmg. Also the armor shred you get from bone curse outweighs turning it to necrotic for the point allocation.

@@maomaosgaming423 I was just wondering, you lose only 2 points turning the skill necrotic (seemingly 3, but your Relic has +1 to necrotic spells)... so is it not worth 40% armor shred chance to make it necrotic? Especially since you got 100% armor shred on necklace? Or you give up 20% armor shred and say nevermind to the chance to AOE explode on death? Wish I knew how to calculate out the damage in these scenarios.

@@catfishplz cant really test that node on the dummy unfortunately. And as for armor shred, since there is no cap to armor shred, the more you can get, the more dmg you will do. And I feel the output of dmg from that is better than spending the points into necrotic, since bone curse is a support skill and not the actual main dmg output for the build. The explosions is just a bonus for transplanting on a pack of mobs, not much use other than that.

I feel like this build is probably the best all around build for Lich currently. Sacrifice works fine as well, and can probably do decent, but it will not be as good as this setup in the high end 400 arena wave + or 600+ corruption. Thanks and glad you're enjoying lich!

What about the one passive that says "You deal increased spell damage if you are using one handed weapon without a shield" but couple of the builds have a shield ? is there any reason for this ? Great build btw

You take this node if you are going to use a catalyst for offhand which I would recommend for the most part. If you get a LP Bastion and a LP Prismatic Gaze and you want to use these in the build instead, then just take these points out and put it in just spell damage node instead. :)

For small packs, you can just bone curse and transplant and it should kill the pack. For any mobs with more health modifier, rare mobs, mini bosses etc, i would Bone curse, pre-health pot, turn on death seal, transplant in, spam rip blood a few times, and then reap out if i am unable to kill or feel like its not safe. Typically you should be fine transplanting in with death seal on, and you would want to reap out of the pack if your death seal is about to run out and you still are unable to kill the mob and it becomes dangerous. I would not recommend using Reap randomly in in arenas as that is your escape after a transplant engage. For Monoliths you can do whatever you want, pretty much just rush objectives. Keep in mind that when you activate death seal, you would want to be hitting mobs to leech to sustain reaper form, cuz if you don't, death seal will just kick you out of reaper due to Doomcall node. Hope that helps!

Hi, thanks for this build guide. Was trying to find something instead of poison lich and this seems perfetct. :) Just one question, is Corrosive Conciousness (7% spell dmg) more damage than Crippling Insigth (2 Int = 8% damage)? I am new to Last epoch, so not sure how dmg is calculated exactly. Thanks

You will get 8% increased dmg from 2 int per Crippling insight point. It will affect any skill that scale off int, which is pretty much all the offensive skills for Lich. So in this case you would want that instead of Corrosive Conc. The less health regen doesn't from the node won't affect lich since we're leeching.

Hi, thanks so much for the video. I'm new to LE and I'm following this build right now. I just want to know why we're going for the double splatters for rip blood. Would there be a difference if I only took the eviscerate one?

There's synergies between Blood splatters, Transplant (due to transplant casting 3 rip bloods), and Bone curse (since each hit will trigger bone curse again). you want double splatters because you will get more hits, which in turn triggers more bone curse and applies more armor shred. Transplant casts 3 rip bloods so thats 6 splatters, and 6 splatters will all trigger bone curse, and so on and so forth. Hope you get the idea :) You don't have to do it while leveling if you are hurting on mana, but for mid-end game you would def want it.

why wands of the fallen in passive when you have a shield on? it will not work

That's correct, you'd take the points out of that node if you go the bastion route. I typically do not run bastion, but if you do have a good LP bastion and Prismatic helm, you'd just put those 5 points up top for the 7% dmg.

Have you tried going rune dagger and bastion for giga thiccness? Or do you think the unique wand is really the way to go

Marina's is BiS for Necrotic lich with for the Deathwaves from DS, and if you get well rolled one, there is nothing that comes close. For Bastion setup, better to just get the LP Prismatic gaze helm.

love this build so far just startet a few days ago on this game. could u do a quick leveling guide? what to use? is it just minions and rip blood all the way?

I would recommend just leveling with RIp blood, Bone Curse and Transplant for leveling. Here's like a sub level 35 planner with 3 skills, then you get reaper at 35 and death seal at 50.. you can use either or a staff or wand/catalyst for leveing, it doesn't really matter. just keep in mind transplant is used for damage.. typically the playstyle is bone curse a mob, transplant close to them, and then just rip blood while transplant is on CD... once you get to level 50-75 and get better gear, it starts to feel alot better and you can follow the rest of the build guide... here's the planner, have fun! www.lastepochtools.com/planner/LB7GGk6B

Just curious if you're still playing LE and have any thoughts on this build for 0.9. It looks like a lot of fun and I'm thinking about playing it. I'd imagine the buff to Rip Blood Arcane Absorption would do a lot for this build.

Not gonna lie, levelling this build was super painful as a new player. It did so little damage outside Transplant that I almost gave up. The build only made sense when I got to level 50 and specced Death Seal, good thing I just endured it till then. Next time I do this build I'm definitely just gonna level with some other skills, cos Rip Blood was super wack. I can't imagine how I can even beat Lagon without Death Seal.

Currently it's best to just level with spirit plague once you get it 15 points into the base acolyte tree. It's still the more optimal way to level and then just convert over to crit around 65ish or so once you get enough points into death seal/transplant and some gear and passives. Rip blood is definitely not good for leveling compared to spirit plague. There are some other YT guides for leveling the acolyte so I didn't bother to do one here. But you should not have much of an issue once you get to converted and you're level 70 or so. Let me know if you have any issues at your current level.

@@maomaosgaming423 Im level 65 and I'm one point away from getting Deadlock. I'm having mana problems when spamming Rip Blood but I'm hoping that getting the one point in Mana Feast will solve that? Edit: still having mana issues with one point into Mana Feast

@@nebulagray88 Yep, you can follow the standard planner without all those legendaries to start. If you get some Runes of Ascendance , save it til you are level 78 and if you didn't get a Marinas lost soul to drop yet, you can just use those runes to try to get one, I would say the wand is not a very hard wand to get/farm for. The Relic you can just kill Reign of Dragons in empowered monos until you get it, or if you have any LP Grimoire's I'd just go with the Grimoire instead due to the synergies with the additional damage reduction that it provides on potion use on top of the damage reduction you get from Lich passive tree. The build is great for trying to min-max with legendaries, but that will take some time. Good luck!

There isn't a specific rotation, it depends on what content you're doing and what type of mobs you are up against. Typically you just bone curse and transplant to kill small packs, or you can bone curse -> death seal -> transplant for more dmg against beefier mobs, and then after transplant, you would spam rip blood. The dmg done is mainly from transplant and death seal's death waves. Rip blood is a filler for kiting when you have transplant/DS on cooldown. Hope that helps

@@BernhardRuetz It's BiS for this patch so far, it's not necessary though. Marina's wand is also BiS for Necrotic Crit Lich, but also not Mandatory. You can just craft a relic and a Profane or Dragonhorn wand and the build will work the same and still be able to do all end game content (empowered monos 300+, Arenas 300+). You can use crafted gear to farm for those uniques, the heart being easier to farm since you just farm Reign of Dragons, the wand can drop randomly from anywhere. gl!
