In my complete agreement with all of the positives from Loaf, one area people overlook is not the specific video itself (which again is absolutely outstanding), Loaf takes the time to reply to his viewers. Most guides fall trap into the spectrum of showing off to maybe helpful here and there in the comments section but still very selective and bias. The energy from this elite teacher is very comforting and the main element towards successive guidance. Bravo. BYW I have commented on channels about 20 times only in my life.

I rarely comment on any videos but I must say this is freaking amazing. I have gone through a couple of builds and noticed Ward is king as a new Last Epoch player. Your videos, Last Epoch Tools builds actually showing skill progression has been amazing. I am in Hawaii so I never catch your stream but I am now level 80 with this build and have been loving it. Thanks man! Yeah they have so many nodes and uniques for trielemental but it just doesn’t seem to fit together right. I hope they rework the sorc passive tree to better mesh with the current tri elemental stuff.
@@pinchingloaf I've been trying hard to piece together a tri-element build and while it's fun for now I feel like it's going to suffer in high corruption. I really enjoy it because it gives me access to every runic invocation so my gameplay is always different. Currently only in ~200 corruption but I've been playing effectively Invoker from Dota 2 with 0-cost spells and spamming runic invocations to constantly generate ward. With Wrongwarp, I have 135% cast speed, 675% spell damage, ~300% elemental damage. Lots of fun but really requires too much concentration to make sure all my buffs are going and if I stop moving at all I die. P:
Been waiting for this video, tank you for taking the time to make it. Really love this build, and been maining it since I found it. Only topic I found to be missing was, on stream, you mentioned also including some 3 or 4LP legendary items you would switch to for the exalted if they dropped.
Yeah sorry the 2 things I forgot to add was that and map mods. I did however put a Giga planner in the video description if you had insane luck and that shows the different uniques that would be super strong on the build with lp.
I actually reallly wanna make this on COF. This type of character was the very very first thing I tried when starting in the beta, and I haven’t done CoF yet. Can’t wait to run this
Yes: great video. I didn't know about the auto cast key binds > only thing is they interrupt my movement and sometimes cancel an attack cause they proc first , over writing my key press.

Sorry if I didn’t make it more clear. I did talk over about deleting the rare item rules and adjusting the exalted rule to include item types. I also have a separate filter once you have all the unique items that has special rules in it for the legendary slams. Hope this helps!
cool build, my first runemaster build ended up looking something similar to this except much worse, i tried to incorporate static + zap to stack the charges in addition to the frost wall but mine ended up being subpar compared to what you have here

Love the guide. Was curious if you think its easier to farm these items, relics, idols and all if you're Merchants guild or CoF. I like the idea that once you cap Merchants guild you can buy items for alts targeting that way. But until you get that rank 10 or so it's brutal. I'm heavily torn on which faction to choose. The market looks real nice, but so do the benefits of CoF
It depends how many hours you play for sure. I play CoF but that’s because I feel the current trade system is very poorly built and only rewards the super grinders. I also find it much more fun to find my own items. If you grind to rank 10 it will be easier to get the items though.
I dont understand, I thought that this build was based on always having the ice - ice - fire runes for that shield? Once you convert the flame rush to cold runic invocation is now just a cold spell. *And wow what a video! Thank you!)

They are called exalted gear. Its basically a rare but one of the stats is a tier 6 or 7. Normal items can only roll stats from tier 1-5. The exalted mod will be in purple text as well. This build really wants exalted int or cast speed.
One of the best guides ive ever seen, so well put together. Only question im left with; at what point does a legendary from the gigachad build become viable? For example, i have a static shell with 1lp if im able to hit t6 or 7 int on that would that he better that a exalted chest with t6 int and t5 lightning crit multi?
Honestly? Because someone wrote a very passive aggressive comment saying I couldnt with my build since Runemaster got nerfed lol. Ignored the comment and made a guide instead. Realistically just farm around 600-700 for optimal farming speeds.

Yes, it can be. I would probably only use it if I got one with 1LP and was able to slam either Shock Chance or Crit Multi. Make sure you get shock chance on your wand if you do not hit the slam on the amulet.

Absolutely love your build, invested 100h already on it. I gotta question though, whats the point of crafting frenzy boots when we have frenzy from flame rush ?
It will kill the crit chance as it doesnt work with closed circuit and you would immediately loose all of your mana. My mana cost is 0 because I have over 300% cast speed for more spark charges.
There is 0 changes coming with the bug patch they are implementing. I don’t use the bugged ward generation node they are nerfing. You can see it on last epochs website by looking at their announcements and patch notes.
I actually dropped one early on and use it for leveling. With set pieces not being able to have legendary potential it kind of keeps them from the end game version. Very strong early on piece though.
I'm currently at 600 corruption but sometimes mobs kills me with 1-2 attacks if I dont have +10k ward atm. Also some dot damage just deletes my characters too. Is that normal ?
As long as your less crit damage taken is at 100% and you are keeping flame ward and runic invocation up, you shouldnt really have too many random deaths like that. Dot damage is the scariest thing in the game at late corruptions. Try to craft the gloves I have as it gives you MASSIVE dot defense. Also make sure you are utilizing your frost wall as every time you pass through a new one, it clears all the dots off of you. Hope that helps!

after 14k hours into this game since day 1 of beta/early acces ive played, see it all min maxed most builds that were fun to me but this guide is by far 1 of the best ones out there..rec skill tree finally someone that use the tool just every detail in this guide is 10/10 keep it up u a nice guideline for new players!! and some O.G can learn from this too

Bro this is THE BEST build video I have ever seen. Some people would be scared off from the 2 hr run time but it's just all information that's relative. I have eaten this video up these last couple days leveling my runemaster. I started with shadow dagger blade dancer and was happy with it. Then swarm druid. Then dive bomb falconer. And now this build. THIS build kills all others. Ward is so OP. if your playing a health build your already at a disadvantage
My Man!!! Amazing build video, how do you think this compares to the Frost Claw - Ele Nova build that is making the rounds? I am working towards that build but the pieces are so difficult to farm out, this looks a bit more accessible and earlier. The next question is, when is the next build guide coming? And for which Class?
Yeah there are some cool Frost Claw variations going around. They seem to have higher single target dps but are much more difficult to get right with the resource management and from the ones I have seen they have less defensive abilities. New build will be out Sunday, its for a spell casting Pally.

hey dude, awesome guide! quick question - what are your thoughts on the Frost Claw version of the Runemaster? I'm specifically referencing the one put out by RageGamingVideos, but I've seen several others that use frost claw, teleport, fire shield, ice barrage, runic invocation (still frost, fire, frost). I guess I'm just wondering which you think is better for a casual player that likely won't grind past 400 corruption? Sorry if you've answered this before, after watching this video i'm inclined to follow this guide just because it's so well explained but I wanted to get your opinion just in case this is a more hardcore-oriented build.
Frostclaw is definitely a great alternative. I havent played it since 1.0 but I have had a lot of my viewers have had. The common responses I get when people said they were switching was that it took much higher investment to manage mana and that it felt less tanky. I havent looked at how people are building Frostclaw these days though.
@@pinchingloaf yah mana management is still something i'm problem-solving through. I was playing your build for a few days (from 50s to early 80s) and felt like I wasn't doing enough damage. i suppose it's really 6 of one, half-a-dozen of the other; either i do moderate damage but have infinite mana (lightning blast), or I do burstier damage but have mana problems to solve. in terms of survivability, frost claw uses ward per mana spent, and since frost claw actually costs mana, it ends up being about the same in terms of ward. i was looking for something that could just blast 200-400 corruption, and i think i'll just stick with your build. not having to worry about mana is pretty nice lol. thanks for the reply! :D
Nope, there will be 0 changes in the upcoming patch unless they sneak something in they didnt tell us about. Im not abusing the Vessel of Strife unique.
I just got one Question: How is this build compared to the Nova variant? Is this better or worse? Does the 200% dmg on Spark Charge make up for the projectile number of Frost Claw?
I havent played the other versions since 1.0 but I do know I had a lot of people coming in the stream switching from those versions. I think they both have their strengths.

I hit a wall with Hydrahedron on defenses, tried Plasma Orb (several variations) and just didn't like the skill itself, so I swapped to this and its awesome. I'm facetanking things that used to oneshot my Hydra build.
Since I do like teleport way more than flame rush, I have altered the build to convert lightning blast into a cold skill through the mage passive tree and then I use Cold (Lightning Blast), Fire (Flame Ward) and Cold (Frost Wall). Furthermore I also specced into Elemental Nova so on teleport use I apply 4 Spark Charges in an instant.
Hi! First of all, great tutorial and awesome build :) I have question about blessing. Why don't use "Grand Cruelty of the Meruna" blessing? It has Shock chance that is much higher, up to 100% vs max 50% on Shred. Also in Shock we have +20% Increased Chance To Be Stunned and +5% Negative Lightning Resistance. On Shred Lightning Resistance we have only +5% Negative Lightning Resistance. So it looks like Shock is better and with twice higher chance :)
That is because you can get shock on your amulet or weapon and I have such high cast speed that I instantly get the shock cap on monsters. Taking that blessing, I get both! Im glad you enjoyed the guide!
I saw the mlooks amazing, then i saw the laddle and almost broke down..... i have been investing everything into getting one. I have probably had over 1000 wands drop from exiled mages and targeted empowered monoliths. I started farming for a laddle in about lv 70, and i am now lv 96...... I JUST WANT A LAAADLE!!!!!!!! I have 4 alts i want to build which really seems fun, and they all need a ladle..
Yeah, it seems to be bugged with not scaling properly with drop modifiers. Some days I get a couple and somedays I get none. Keep grinding and may the RNG gods be in your favor.
Just died on hc bc of bug. My char started casting runic invocation or flame ward without cooldown like a madman in the middle of a boss fight, idk why. Used num lock ofc.
Flame Ward is an instant cast so there is 0 animation and the runic invocation is about a third of a second with my cast speed. There is a slight cast animation on Runic Invocation. Im sorry for your loss man. I dont really trust the online servers at the moment with playing HC.

Time to give this a try cause it looks crazy fun to play :D Before my pala rip i actually found a omnis amulet with 1LP and decent resists, would you use it in this build?
The scariest part on HC will be unlocking Runemaster. After you do that, set up Cold, Fire, Cold for Runic Invocation and then you will be immortal until empowered monos lol. Yes, you want to slam it with either shock chance or crit multi. Since its an Omni I would get an amulet with Crit Multi(exalted), Spell Damage, Shock Chance, and Armor Shred. If you dont hit the shock chance, try and slam that on your weapon.
Been playing this the last couple of days and its amazing. And the guide is so indepth that everybody can follow it and success and get to 300 corruption. Also loaf is super chill and allways answers all questions on his streams so go check him out on twitch aswell :)
I'm about 40 mintues deep so far and overall the guide is very well made, however I have one note. When discussing skills and passives, around 21% of the screen is actual content (I did some very rough math), while the rest is filler. Even though I'm watching this on a big monitor and the video resolution is set to 1080p (highest option), due to the tiny fonts and YT encoding, it's still hard to actually read the text. Especially the dark green characters on dark grey backgrounds. Scaling that part so it fills more of the screen would have made it less painful to watch.

I am wondering tho, as a noob.when it drops Yellow and pink with the loo filter you have, what do i do with them if they're not something i wanna put on? shatter or removal or just keep in stash? im only lvl 81 atm and just began to do lvl 100 monoliths. cheers!
So yellow and pink means it’s an exalted t6 or t7 affix that is desirable such as intelligence or cast speed. Those will typically be upgrades or items used to combine with unique items. There’s a further loot filter explanation as one of the last time stamps on the video. Hope that helps!
Hey man, just found a LP3 Ladle and wanted to ask if a max rolled T7 crit multi roll would be equal to the cast speed? or i should just wait til i find a T7 cast speed wand. Your strict loot-filter is showing crit multi wands so wanted to check. Also the same with helmets, i have a max(50%) rolled T7 lightn crit multi helm with the right base. Is Int still better to get?
Crit multi would be the second best stat but if it were my wand, I would wait for a T7 cast speed with T5 crit multi. Int is king above all else. You might be able to make the helmet really good if you can at least slam a T2 or T3 int as a sealed affix and then get lightning blast to T5. The helmet will still be strong but a T6 int helm would be better.
Great guide. Just a question - how come you don't really value spell critical chance but you seem to advise getting critical strike multiplier. It seems like you don't even have 50% crit? Sorry I come from other games and that just seemed very low crit to me. Thank you!
It is a combo of the Closed Circuit node in the Lightning Blast skill tree and the Calculated Destruction node in the Sorcerer passives. I get enough base crit from stacking Int to get me going and I have enough cast speed that I can ramp up the Closed Circuit crit procs that I hit 100% crit in a couple seconds. Hope this helps!
I'm thinking more and more about turning to the bazaar. I'm level 92 and I've been at monolith 100 for a while, but with your loot filter, I can't seem to drop gear with the right stats. So, I'm wondering if I should just do the bazaar instead and buy gear with the right stats! It seems so easy for you to play this game haha. Thanks again for your wonderful build.
This game is all about crafting. You normally get a piece of gear with 1-2 of the stats and craft it from there. Its very easy to get into the crafting and if you need any help, id recommend dropping by the live stream sometime. Viewers link me their gear all the time and I will walk you through how to craft it. All of my gear has been self found on this character.
Seems the biggest upgrade to this is getting a good Prismatic Gaze with +4% critical strike chance, should get you 50% more damage. That is if you can slam int and +2 to lightning blast.
Unbelievably good guide thank you. How important is level? I am a new player and I am currently working my way through through the monoliths. I am like 15 levels under the monolith and just crushing them. Will i be able to do empowered even though im not level 100? thank you
I really want to get into this build but coming from my falconer build, levelling this runemaster is a chore with the measly lightning blast damage. Am I doing something wrong? I'm following the lvl 1-50 build planner. This is harsh. I spent a few minutes fightning an exile mage where my falconer of the same level back then killed it before I noticed it was a special monster.
Mage is one of my fastest leveling characters. You do need to play it a little different though. I just tag stuff with lightning blast to get it to follow me and then right before I go through a portal to the next zone, I turn around and one shot everything with Glacier. After about level 50, I swap to only using Lightning Blast. I hope this helps!
