Enjoyed, much too brief an interview with Freddie. Not the most memorable or biggest group or star, Freddie & The Dreamers were around and I’m confident that an interview of 45 minutes to an hour would had been interesting with his most pleasing story telling abilities. A most charming lad, indeed. The planet Earth is a less fun place without Freddie as an occupant. Once last thing I want to tell Freddie for the very last time, “I’M TELLING YOU NOW,” Freddie, to Rest In Peace, because YOU DID A GREAT JOB WHILST YOU WERE AMONG US! (pun fully intended)

There's a story that Freddie and the Dreamers were on a bill with the Beatles, and heard them rehearsing their set which included some covers. Freddie came on first and sang the covers, getting Lennon and McCartney to vow they'd write all their own songs from now on. If true, we owe Freddie a lot....RIP.

As a boy, I grew up in the 50s/60s (16 in 1963) and Freddie and the Dreamers were top stars. Their songs such as 'I'm telling you now' and 'You were made for me' are truly evocative of that great era just as much as the Beatles are. Sadly, from 1965 onwards I believe the whole scene went slightly downhill for everyone. God bless Freddie. Time took its toll on you like it does on us all but we will remember you always as that effervescent top talent of the 60s.
