Last look at Frontierland Morecambe

As the "blue boards" were down on the old Frontierland site on Morecambe prom. I decided to take one last look at one of the entrances at the old Frontierland site. From here you can see part of the log flume and where the main office once stood. A few weeks after filming this, the remaining part of the log flume was torn down. We hope you have good memories of Frontierland if you ever visited. Thanks for watching.
This is a fantastic exhibition for any stop motion animation fans. At Manchester, Sale Waterside arts centre. This is a free exhibition but we would recommend making a donation in the container by the entrance by the exhibition as this is a great place. The exhibition of Mackinnon & Saunders who made figures for Tim Burtons Corpse Bride, Frankenweenie and Mars Attacks. There is also figures from Guillermo Del Toro`s Pinocchio. There is also other figures from other films and tv. Thank you for watching.

My uncle and I travelled up from Sussex in 1987 to construct the stable in there and the one in Blackpool pleasure park..happy days and I still miss Morecambe

I remember the theme park very well. I also remember turning up one year and it was now called Frontierland. It's such a shame it closed down. Are there any plans for anything to be done with the site?

There are a few things in the air but no definite answer as to the plans yet, I ( Baz ) used to work there in the 90s and I must admit it was one of the most fun jobs I've ever had, miss that place

Lack of jobs, lack of housing and the borders are still open.........there has to be a point where it's either sorted out or the country collapses

That's a shame Tina, I went last year and the structure of the old log flume was still up! It even had the remaining water left over inside!

Haven't been to Morecambe since 1998 what's it like now? I hear it's on the up and the Eden project is coming to the bay

There is nothing for tourists to do, but it's great for a walk up the prom. We have some good events in the summer.

We live near it. It has all gone now. After they filmed The Bay there, they took the rest of the log flume down.

Was there last Friday visiting lees games and always like to visit the old frontierland site. I can confirm the last bit of the log flume has completely gone and the motor shed for texts tornado has now been demolished.

Yeah the log flume and shed were torn down a couple of weeks after I vlogged it. So sad.

So sad Tina! ( especially for you. Didn't you meet Baz there?). I just remember the Ranch house and parts of the roller coaster still standing to the right on the site.I left in 2007. It was just the same when they demolished Belle Vue in Manchester. ( heartbreaking for us city kids who had an amusement park and a zoo on our doorstep!) XXX🤗

Many hours spent there and on that log flume . There’s a picture of me coming down it with my late grandad stood watching somewhere in my mums box of old photographs ! :)

I love the history it's a shame that I never got to experience frontierland myself but Bryan did and he loved it. I adore the artwork from the locals its fantastic and right now that sunset is deffo cheering me up can't wait until better weather. Love the keyring Tina xx
