This was a favourite when I was little! My whole family would watch it together! They taught me how to make tea when I was seven, and we'd all drink it with this show in the evening!
Dear friend! Thanks for posting this series. It's such a good memory. My Da and I watched this EVERY Saturday night on PBS as kid growing up. In those few minutes God was in His Heaven and All was Right with World. God Bless You ♥️

I always said that also. They stole the idea from roy clarke. Nothing new ... Hollywood is sickening and Media filled with lies. I havnt had cable satellite for a couple decades now. DVDs and RU-vid is what I do.
No question. You and Kim are spot on. As an English dramatist living in NY I stopped sending my work out...too often ended up recognising my "contributions" unpaid for uncontracted and uncredited... Writers Guild said don't bother going after them - you'll "get a reputation..." Basically they were protect their old timers and the producers who'd hand 'em my scripts and say - "localise" this...Spielberg's done it, Seinfeld, Columbia U Drama Professors, etc., etc...might happen in the UK, but at that time it would be rare...and very bad form,,,
He was just merely acting out what is really happening in the world. He didn't like it too. Watch the interviews with the actors. I didn't like how Cinderella was treated by her stepmother and stepsisters. But it's really happening.

Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
