Yankee from the states here. I love this show, discovered it around 2005/2006 when PBS started showing british comedy night. Now I watch whenever I can. What a great show, no violence, so peaceful and funny, I always enjoyed British humor and so this show is one of my favorites of all time. This theme song is so beautifully written, it nostalgically reminds me of my own childhood and spending time with my own grandparents. I'm happy to have a young son who I can watch this with when he is older and continue the tradition with. Such a lovely program, and I am so happy to have been enriched by it.
This music makes me think of both of my parents who have passed. I miss you so much Mom and Dad , my life has been so empty since you passed. your always on my mind, Thank you for everything you did for me, I love you.
This is such a beautiful comment, it's very clear to see how much you love your dear parents. I hope you've found peace and comfort. I feel the same way about my Grandad - this music reminds me of going to his house to watch this with my Dad and Brother. Very happy memories indeed.
It reminds me of my Grandfather. We used to watch this show together. Years have passed the memories never fade and I still watch this show! Your comments were beautiful and from the heart
I just lost my dad 4 days ago. He too was a big fan and would like the theme tune at his funeral. Sending you my biggest hugs and love, in this, the saddest if times x x x
Losing Moms [Mums] & Dads is truly difficult & unnerving. Wish our insides were made of iron & steel, which time could not touch. Never to have to pass away. God bless them all.
I love this show..we are still getting reruns.. here in New Zealand...I think it is one of the best shows ever... and I wonder...is it what we would like to be like... enjoying our youthful childhood in our older years....I know I do...old but young at heart ❤️
Peter Sallis - an absolute legend, both in Last of the Summer Wine, and as Wallace. He will be much missed by countless people. Rest In Peace Sir. 96 is a fantastic innings! I grew up with your Voice and will never forget it.
