I remember my parents buying bushels of purple hull peas and everyone hulling them, ending up with purple thumbs…our local radio station has a “party line” where people either send in or call and advertise their stuff to sell. Summer means veggies and fruit😊 Our local farmers mkt started on Tuesday nite, just waiting on those homegrown tomatoes for a mater sandwich

I love the fly boots..I think Moody and Mildred need some too..IHolly just warms my heart the way she follows Jason around and waits on him..she looks up at u and u say see the love she has for him..She reminds me of Lassie show yrs ago and Lassie followed lil Timmy around wherever he went and would go for help if something happened.I think Holly would go get Brooke if something happened with Jason..I love how Jason goes over things to make sure it’s safe for the animals..He thinks of everything!!..🩷🙏🩷

I remember sitting many hours with my Grandma breaking peas and green beans. That is some of the best memories I ever made. The world needs more of that instead of kiddos sitting on computers or phones playing . They should sit with their grandparents and enjoy listening to what they have to tell them. Love seeing Holly with you. She is such a sweetheart.

Years ago, my husband salvaged a large doughnut-shaped magnet from an old speaker then tied string to it - sort of a tripod of string that holds the magnet level to the ground. He then swings the magnet over areas to pick up screws, nails, etc.

Good morning Jason, thank you for the Smiles. The Garden is reflecting the wonderful care and efforts you put into nurturing its growth and beauty. I will bet the garden is giving back an abundance of aromas and satisfaction. Honey is beautiful she will appreciate the larger fly boots and high stepping around the pasture. That’s a whole lot of finishing work in the fence but it’s going to pay off with the peace of mind you’re going to have knowing everything is safe and secure. Holly is sure a Beautiful Lady and her Smile Brightens up the Day even when the Sun is Shining. Well done Jason. 😊👍👍👍

I'm turning 70 in Aug and remember local farmers all around plainview, tx had vegetable crops everywhere. They would put ads at the first of the week on ads what veg were ready. Mom and aunts would collect their wicker bushel baskets and we pulled 6 each time each family. Then tea towels in our laps and then go get 6 more as soon finished. Dad's favorite eating raw purple hull peas. Learned our lesson on green peanuts and leave the neighbors green peaches alone 😂. People don't know these chores we did all year long. Glad your showing this life. Great video on moody

I can remember when I was young, my grandma would can Blackeye peas. Some were shelled and some were not. They were so good and I’ve not had them in 40 years now. He is absolutely right about the advice around horses but another piece to that is always talk to them when approaching them and walking around them.

Every day after school me and my siblings had to help grandma shell peas . We all would sit on the porch and shell peas for about 2 hrs. You were lucky to have a sheller, when I was a kid we were the shellers.

Anita pennington, do you remember the clean odor as we shelked peas, or snapped beens, or shucked the corn. I miss those smells, as well as pulling the shells, or the ends from the beens or the silks back into the soil to compost, OOOHH those were the days
