Both machines sound terrific. I'm more fond of the Convertible but the Sanitaire is probably the more powerful, better cleaner actually.

Very nice. Always enjoy a Eureka/Sanitaire & Hoover vintage comparison! Btw, the U4397 has a 'full'-style hood. The Ranger's headlight is more pronounced. I think it was sold at Kmart along with 2 others in different colors and less features. Happy New Year to you!
