I feel this on a deep level. After 5 years in middle school special ed at a school I’ve loved, next year I’m moving to 2nd grade gen ed in a totally new district. So, so bittersweet. I know good things are coming, but it’s hard to say goodbye to my first school family. Change is tough, but we’ve got this! Sending lots of love your way 💕 Happy summer!!

I am a veteran high school teacher (22 years!) who is always grateful to see young, inspirational teachers like you in the profession. My advice is to leave work at school you will last longer and avoid burn out. Yes, you can care for your students and build great relationships, but don’t forget to take care of yourself as well this summer. Keep rocking it! 😊

I was moved from 1st to K after 20 years and I was devastated. I thought I would spend my career in 1st. Fast forward 3 years (even through Covid) and I have to say that I LOVE K. I’m sure you will too. Best of luck!
