There is really a ton of excellent content for this game and you are getting your money's worth on the component side. My concern is that the basic gameplay is not that deep or challenging. Basically draft 2 cards and play your best cards...
Each of the 9 characters has their unique abilities that you need to use carefully. Each of the 6 Tales has different mechanics, and depth, and adds a layer of thinking to how you draft cards and play them. Cards have special powers, so it's never obvious how to play them. Each of the envelopes has something that makes the game deeper. But in a way you are right 0 the basic gameplay is quite simple and smooth, and that's why we love it. We truly enjoy playing the game over and over again, and that includes our team of developers (6 heavy gamers).
this looks great - i hope there will be a couple more companions e.g. Vernon Roche. I'm feel lucky that i can afford the full monty, however i've seen some negative comments about the Ronin "spinoff" which made me scratch my head. Anyhow - can't wait to play the game!
Would be cool to have a Roach story (side quest)... like in the Witcher game... not sure if it can be implemented, but something funny... or an explanation of how he came to name all his horses ”Roach” - Regis points out Geralt’s affection towards his horse in Baptism of Fire
How bout a gameound exclusive tale (can even be about roach) we dont have a single one. We have one exclusive character. Over retail I dont see the insentive. My Old World arrived 3 months after it was avaliable at retail in my country.
