Dominic shows off a bespoke knock-off of a 1930s Gucci bag that is tricked out and beautiful both inside and out. He tells a great little story around it. Kirby Allison blows off the whole setup and shrugs it off dismissively. Smooth.

Great channel and enjoyed your series of livestreams over the past few months. The new studio looks quite lovely and looking for to more great content on the KAS!

Really enjoying all your videos talking to various artisans. Clearly, the focus will always be on shoemakers and tailors, you did however do your series at Lavabre Cadet, will you be visiting an interviewing the makers of other accessories (be they hats, umbrellas etc.)? I think it would be very exciting to see you interview people like Stephen Temkin (hatter at Leon Drexler) for example, if you can get by them on your travels.

Hi Kirby. Great video. After waiting about 2 months for your large horse hair shoe shine brush in neutral to come back in stock, I've finally got my hands on it and I'm absolutely in love with it. Just wondered, why does it say Wellington on it? My black brush has the usual The Hanger Project logo on it

Thank you for pursuing you passion in interviewing these craftsman and artists. Through them I have discovered an interest I was not aware I possessed. I have a shoeshine question. I just purchased a pair of Allen Edmonds Liverpool Chelsea boots. Would you high shine the toe and heel or is that just for dress shoes? Thank you.

Isn't J&FJ Baker using calfskin instead of reindeer for the russian leather? The 1786 Leather is reindeer as far as I know

No disrespect to the last makers, but at this point why aren’t companies using 3D scanning and printing to make lasts already? That would have to be a more accurate and faster process than taking measurements and carving wood by hand.

kongmw Ha ha yhee but not realy, your shoe should not look like your foot. Ok I get it you probably do not realy mean that it should look like a foot. The last is actully the the shape of the shoes. It is also the knowledge on how the foot works, bends and suports. What material you are going to use, how you can last it on the last what the pattern are going to be used. This are very tallented people if a 3D printer would do it they would use it. He is actually feeling alot on the foot. The last must then also hold up for the lasting of leather on it with nails.

steven zhu We filmed a ton while in Europe on this last trip. It could take us three months to get around to everything. But, rest assured, it will be published!
