I loved this show and the conversation today! No guest just intelligent retired pro athletes keeping real and just talking about current events! The chemistry is great between them, and the egos are left at the door if there is any. I am going back and looking at the previous shows!
I love it when they do a show like this where they just talk. I'm sure they do stuff like this behind the scenes, but it's great to see them just be them. What a great way for them to decompress, check themselves, and make sure they're good with each other and keep the magic that makes the show spectacular.
I could listen to conversations between you three for days. There are only so many people I can openly talk with like the way you guys do. Thank you for making The Pivot 🙏
You deserve a standing ovation gentlemen. The discussion was riveting, from start to finish. I heard you individually and collectively and was uplifted. Respect!
Chan made some very valid points. His comments on the mother and her 14 year old son was very heartfelt. Love it when the guys get together and just talk. Great point on the BET Awards Fred.
All of the episodes that are just them 3 turn out to be GEMS. I absolutely appreciate these men for dropping knowledge and wisdom. Giving me a different view on so many things. I am grateful for the time and help of me developing into a better man.
I 100% understand Ryan when being in large crowd settings, he may shut down. He very intellectual and so am I , I prefer small crowds because an intimate setting is more meaningful, large crowds may make an intellectual person feel a little lost and without purpose.
RC revealing that one of kids is dealing with mental health issues is why this show is the #1 that I watch. They are all vulnerable. RC, Chan and Freddie are all as real as they come. They give us their all and that’s why their guests give them their all. The saying goes you give what you get and when it comes to The Pivot, that saying is the truest.
The point on Zion that wasn’t brought up was how much time, effort, and mental space goes towards dealing with too many women at once. That’s the difference from the organization’s standpoint. Having one woman, or even a couple that just aren’t in the public eye and speaking on Zion’s activities to the media would be much better.
Athletes in general have been doing these things and dealing with these things for forever. The ONLY difference is that she decided to bring it to light and not handle it behind closed doors. Zion is a BALLER, when he’s on the court but the problem is that he is not on the court enough. Many players have had this issue, Lonzo Ball is going through it right now, but none of that stuff is brought up because he’s not having these issues played out in the media for the world to see
Honestly the number of women doesn’t matter. All it takes is one crazy woman to make someone’s life miserable and vice versa, while I could date 7 women casually that are non-problematic and sleep well at night. I once had a girl tell me that she lit her ex on fire because she THOUGHT he could be cheating. Unfortunately this was after she was already at my apt and so I slept on the couch with a knife in my hand just in case I had to get it poppin.
Best line I heard was Channing just be yourself everyone else can adjust. Or something of that sort. Real recognize real and this is why I love this show its real. Thank you guys for just being who you are
I truly love when you guys have these moments of reflection and in an essence of “Self-Checking” yourselves to ensure that you’re always being not only “Authentic” to your viewers, listeners, subscribers and sponsors but most importantly being “AUTHENTIC” to “YOURSELVES” !!!! And Brothers, YOU ARE!!! Been following since show #1 and will continue to follow, like and share your content with others!!!!
Man the convo about the child who had to make such a life altering decision. Gave me chills man we gotta do better as a community i will never stand there and watch something like that go down. There was a couple MEN standing watching how could they? Just have to do better.
This episode illustrates why The Pivot Podcast is the best Podcast period. The way that you men have different topics such as Sports, black culture, moral issues etc...Keep up the great work Gentlemen and God bless you all!
Thank you 🙏🏾 What y’all do and episodes like this help balance and is a true check in for us all. I hope the conversations help you all as much as it helps me.
Started binge listening to this a couple months ago while at the gym and I’ve never ended one of the shows and not learned something or had a seed planted about how to navigate life.
You brothers are all special but so down to earth with it. I love this show, would love to run into you guys at an event and just shake your hand and say thank you for your truths on the show
I've been rewatching all of these episodes all week 😃 The Pivot is so special. I absolutely love these 3 man shows & getting to know you guys better, they're great! You guys do an incredible job! ❤
I honestly love, love, LOVE this show/podcast/talk show! The amount of just genuine common sense and intelligence is refreshing! Such a great wavelength of guests and topics, and yet, yall can still maintain like human beings and discuss topics and opinions, instead of pushing them onto others. A+++❤❤❤
I love this show and the discussions and I appreciate that they are 3 Black men married to 3 Black women...I love and respect Ryan, Chan, and Fred for many reasons!! ❤
Love the show!! Been watching since day 1…and before. Love how y’all cover the topics most needed to discuss, appreciate the realness. My fav show! Keep up the great discussions.
I relate to RC about being social but not in those crowds. People tell me I’m great all the time but I categorize myself as a social/loner. I can turn it on but makes me uncomfortable.
One of most upsetting things I found to be regarding that Chicago shooting, the aggressor was allegedly a father to twin daughters yet could do what he did to a woman.
I continue to love your show, actually gentlemen, it's more than a show, it's always an objective look on life. With all its warts and beauty, and I always feel the positive emotive energy you bring. Three men talking REAL, obviously keep pushing and stay blessed. Thank you once again. 💜
I thought I was the only who felt like I was watching The Source Awards on BET. I'on even know who half of them were, but it didn't take long before I found something else to watch. I'm with Chann and it's sad that people have embraced foolery/drama and it's annoying for those of us who don't. I sooooooo love that y'all are constantly learning and growing together. That's the ultimate PIVOT. Thank you too the entire team❤️❤️ you guys are the MVPS 💪💪
To see these three Black men speak so thoughtfully about the Chicago shooting, Black women and genuinely care...smh To use their platform to speak out loud how wrong it was for that coward to punch the woman like he did and for the son to make a decision to save his mother. The son SAVED his mother. To get beat upside your head and body. smh That coward had been empowered to roam this earth believing he can do whatever to whomever. I'm glad these three gentlemen used their platform to speak on the situation without bashing the Black woman. ❤
RC social anxiety that he can’t understand is the fact that he feels people energy but hasn’t figured out how to interpret it. He’s not feeling his energy, it’s all the energy around him. Everybody isnt as genuine or truthful as they portray and his body knows it. People be faking it and not their authentic selves. That’s it’s way of telling him that it’s some off people in the setting. I struggled with the same thing and I’m social also. Once someone broke it down to me like that, I started understanding it and listening to it. I’m right every time. It’s a gift honestly
In the Chicago case, the mother said on an interview she never asked her son to go get a gun. She told him to go to the car. She didn’t want him to see what was going down.
The NAACP Image Awards have class and draws people to attend, but then again it is a different crowd of folks of the Arts..Busta put on a good show but I have to agree with Fred.. we’ve got to do better.. I also agree with Chan why can’t it just be labeled a “good show” with black people… Ryan you’re so talented.. I just think you overthink situations.. lighten up a little on yourself… life has a way of working itself out sometimes.. Maybe being Athletes like y’all said your minds were programmed that way.. take a little of the pressure off.. love y’all …so proud of you!!! All of you😊
If artist acknowledged the BET awards on their social medias like it means something to them it would then get fans interested in the BET awards, but they promote the places that weren’t even meant for them and desire those awards. The artist and the artist alone can change the perception of the weight a BET award can hold.
I live in kenya africa bt this show always keeps me thinking more about life than ever The 3 amigos I never knew I needed thanks to all of you at pivot keep rolling
I'm not even going to 🧢 this was a very great episode. I think you guys should do this more often. Every now and then just have a episode that doesn't feature a guest and just talks about todays events like how you guys did with this episode.
Love what r saying Channing it drives me insane when people say this is a great black people show / movie etc u r a 1000 percent right it's a great show everyone just needs to be the best person they can be regarded of color that's the problem with the world live u guys keeps up the amazing work
