You were in College Street, that place has 3 Universities and around 7 colleges lined up in about 300 meter radius hence the name College Street. Apart from that you were walking around that book market which happens to be the largest book market in Asia hands-down. It is said by people that if you can't find any specific book here, that book ain't available anywhere.

Bro please try traditional bengali full meal in lunch or dinner. Like aloo posto, dav chingri, motor sutir kochuri, aloor dom, vetki fish paturi, mustard hilsa fish and steamed hilsa fish, katla fish kalia, green banana kopta, lobster malaikari, chitol fish muitha, yogurt ruhi fish these are the heartbeat dishes of BENGAL. Without these delicacies you can't realize how much varieties of flavors BENGAL have . 🥰🥰

You got the right sweet from the right shop.. that is one of the outlet of Bhim Nag I believe and they are one of the pioneer of bengali sweets and one of the significance of bengali sweets most of the made from Cow’s milk and change it to Chana and then use it and convert to different sweet by using flavour sugar and all and winter time it date’s jaggery will take place of sugar and those even more tastier.. if you try fusion desert will get baked rosgulla sandesh with chocolates Curd with different flavour hot sandesh and many more fusion sweets .. Kolkata and West Bengal is best sweet hub in India for the sweets which made from Milk..

Hey max, Since you are in kolkata, do visit odisha thats the neighbour state rich in culture, heritage and so many yummy street foods.. i am sure you would love it. Temples with great history and beautiful manmade work adds an Xfactor to it. Street food like panipuri (gupchup we call it), chat are so unique in taste and flavor from other parts of country would make you love it. And a special dish called dahibara aloodum is the must have . Hope you would visit and show it to the rest of the world about our culture like you always do. Lots of love to you❤

i had commented and requested you to visit kolkata, thanks for coming.There is another area named Jadavpur ,come here,lots of research institutes and universities are located there and people are so open and will appreciate . also try to visit few villages of west bengal but you may find difficulty for stayng or like so do preplanning ,it will be like free of cost and you will be enjoying lot. you can try north bengal ,sundarban as well.

That clever guy who helped you placing your order..He 1st place his order and take the remaining Paradise sandesh and then place your order and tell the shopkeeper "after packing my order then give his order". That's kind of rude and selfishness ... Because they are local any day they can grab.

Jalebi, gulab jamun, rasagulla, kaju barfi, chhaina, Bundi laddu and besan laddu, these all are my favourite ,I can eat more than 3 at a time. Chamcham is awesome with Sev or other namkin. You should also try Bundi and Sev combination, sweet and salty

Misti Hub in front of Eco Park, India's largest Park(480acres) has got some of the the best sweet shops of Kolkata under one roof- heaven for sweet lovers.

I wish there were or maybe there are Bengali Literature, poetry and stories in English. You would have loved it. Ok now I have to go out to eat kulfi...and find Mango kulfi. I know he got the books to support them. He knows the books can be cheaper in price but I love Max when he supports people around. I'm happy you tried sweets again but try all the sweets from Bengal. Even the Misti doi. Again. And the Chinese are good too. Please try Aloo Chop or Vegetable chop. If you can find it there please. And at last you are going to have biryani in Kolkata.
