There are some things around us which are often considered as supernatural or paranormal in nature and we are warned again & again not to meddle with such things, evil sometimes lurks behind the shadows trying to peek the vulnerabilities in our mind, it allures us to worship it, but if we resist it brings out deepest shame and fears to use against us. Occult is something which is mocked by skeptics because it is hard to provide scientific evidence, but for those who have been marked by evil, their overwhelming experience needs no proof or evidence. Late Night with the Devil is a unique movie which shockingly meddles with our minds to cater us a thrilling experience, a horrifying event, a late-night show in our living rooms when we allow evil to haunt us like something never seen before. In the late 1970s a late-night show host experimented with something to boost the show’s ratings, which were otherwise continuously dropping. On the Occult themed Halloween Night show, he invited a girl who is well known to have been possessed by a demon, although the weird events of the night were warning him to stop, but he ignored all signs and requested the parapsychologist handler of the girl to conjure the demon on live television, what happened next was something immensely terrifying and thrilling, a shock wave along the spine, reminding us that evil is not to be invited carelessly. Although the movie lacks any genuine horror jump-scares but how it is picturized and presented in documentary found footage style is something which creates a realistic thrill, it grows on us, captivating our full attention. The acting is absolutely marvelous, and the screenplay is thrilling at each moment, not boring for a single minute. The theme of evil and its influence on humans through greed, lust and other abominations are humorously mixed in a dark comedy sense which is highly enjoyable. The ending is little bit bleak and abrupt which ruined the overall experience of the movie, the ending was totally generic and cliché like any other average horror movie, still apart from the ending whole movie is a wildly fresh thrilling experience.
