I forgot to mention that its OK for a random spike of latency at at ~1000 from time to time, In my experience these are negligible and doesnt effect audio.

had this exact same issue like a month ago, do you happen to have an amd processor? that was my issue and the freezing would happen latency mon picked up on it and i was having unsolvable issues because of it, left it for a month or so and it got better

I agree mate, Windows 10 has better core audio engine in the x64 version, it's on level with core audio on Intel mac os in my opinion and I use both Always update network drivers, that's always the best fix for audio dropouts I find in windows 10, check cpu cores are not parked and windows is set to background tasks instead of apps for audio in system prefs that's great for audio cards USB or FireWire, but every audio workstation setup is different, drivers, audio cards Intel boards are best but I've got great audio workstation build on Amd with Ryzen 2700x chip and no problems so there is options

What about hardpagefaults?I am pretty much in the green and no drivers ever reach 1ms but I tried to run a benchmark for a game that lasted maybe 20 seconds and my pagefaults jumped to 46k in 10 mins. When not doing anything there's the occasional spike and thats it and it stay mostly at 0pagefault.Still in the green and no red warning. I guess Its normal?I have 16gb ddr4 3200mhz ram. imgur.com/a/rBLskmA while playing games for 10 min.Normal?

Good info here! Endless discussions about this on VI-Control. The processor with the highest single-core speeds is usually the best performer for DAW work!

I also got this problem and being frustrated bc I have tried every steps Ableton or other articles suggested to optimize. I saw a release note in beta, so maybe it is a bug and will be fixed in 10.1.

ah I got Win 10 with Focusrite 2i4 I can't produce the same problem when I swap to another win 10 laptop while remaining the same interface.

Pete McDonald I seems to fix the problem by connecting all my USB devices to according ports, like only 2.0 to 2.0 and 3.0 to 3.0

My PCIE Wi-Fi card was terrible, I had constant stutter in games, and it was not possible listening to music because it would stutter every 2 seconds. (In latencyMon the {ndis.sys} was the problem and the graph was completely red). I replaced it with a new one, and it works fine.

I've been trying to diagnose and fix what Latencymon is showing me. I'm getting pops and stutters in my audio. It's been 3 months nd I cannot fix this. wdf01000.sys dpc count of 175.20 High reported ISR and nvlddmkm.sys highest reported dpc routine execution dpc count 38481,. I've tried ALL the tweaks I see here on you tube, still going out of my mind. Graphics card settings, ASIO buffer, power option plans, disabling drivers, WiFi, etc etc. HELP !!

Thanks! Do you know anything about that first entry on your list, the "Kernel Mode driver framework"? Seems to always be the highest exectution time and on my windows machine it is seriously sucking up resources. Is it a nessesary driver?

How high is the execution time? Its normal for that and the display drivers to be at the the top of the list. Also that driver is very necessary for windows to work.

@@SadowickProduction thanks for the response! I'm in transit presently so I can't check atm. I have been reading a bit since I commented and it seems that that driver is reflecting other drivers performance as opposed to being it's own process. Someone put it this way "it's more the victim than the culprit" in terms of bad drivers.

Are these good results: my highest interrupt was 24ms then 43. My highest execution was dx at 0.079174 then nvidia 0.073413 total execution on dx was 20.8ms
