Game looks good other then the darkspawn designs as a whole and the qunari foreheads. What did they do to the darkspawn?!

Now that I think about it there's 3 rouge companions, Harding, Bellara(/mage), and Lucanis. I feel if any class was gonna take up majority of companions it should've been warrior for "frontline" and agro taking for variety

Belara’s voice acting feels a bit off compared to her VA in the recent Vows and Vengeance podcast. It’ll take me a moment to adjust. But still I’m so excited for this game.

The Ogre doesn't react to companions. Even when he's standing next to them 29:33. He only attacks the main character.

So many hateful comments. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Y'all. As someone new to DA who has looked into the lore and seen summaries of the story but not played through them myself. The voice acting is fine, Bellara is fine, chill out. Y'all bring your hate all over DA on people's videos because you're butthurt and resentful and I get it, I've been burned by EA, Bioware, and other companies before. But the bigots can keep their 2 cents and the ones who just get really nasty for no reason need to do some self reflection. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I've been dying to explore the ruins of the capital of the Elven Empire. It somewhat reminds me of both Alfheim and Vanaheim from God of War 4 and Ragnarok as well as some elven ruins near the Sacred Arbor from Dragon's Dogma 2 and the forests from Greedfall.

Oof, not a fan of the voice acting for her. Feels… kinda forced? Like she was going for bubbly but is faking it? Edit: I figured it out. She’s talking like my mom talks to her kindergarten students.

This game's environmental style is gorgeous actually! It doesn't seem to fit the original dark fantasy theme of the Dragon Age IP, however.

I read that you can adjust the HUD, did you find the default hud too busy and overstimulating or fine as is?

Some of the sound effects in the combat scenes sound like Star Wars blaster bolts when you aren’t watching the screen and it’s a bit jarring for a fantasy magic setting? I’ve said in other videos that I’ll be leaving The Veilguard for the sales because I’m not happy with its purple pink magenta color spamming or the Eerie Indiana plastic looking faces…oh my Qunari what have they done to your forehead?However, I was a big fan of Dragon Age: Inquisition and that is playing into my opinion here. So I’ll wait for the in depth reviews and then check for a good sale price if it checks out!😅

Still not sold on the new darkspawn designs atleast in regards to the ogre, the ghoul one though is growing on me cause that did look freaky watching it devour a halla, but everything else is looking like fun so cant wait till the 1st (drops on the 31st but for my timezone ill be passed out in bed so ie it becomes the first).

Well. WELL. I WISH I liked Bellara. But she's way too cliche quirky asian. CMON!!! It's not that hard to not be hackneyed and stupid, in theory. She's awful, and I wanted to like her.

29:20 I renember in Dragon age origins killing an ogre in an awesome way... made me feel like an hero.

The armor enemies look they're ripped from another game, like... theres some kinda generic vibe to them and I cannot place it atm. Just big golden automatons. Voice acting for Rook is good, Bellara is... idk theres something off about her VO and it just comes across as forced to me. Harding VO is pretty okay, but the way they're talking about things feels off to me overall. Its.. yeah i know its a video game but the way they're talking in pretty much all the non cutscene dialogue feels way too gamey and unnatural. That and the in combat compliments need a way to be turned off, because man they sound so freaking cheesy and stupid to me.

The game world looks nice but I’m not to sure about the content quality…. Like back in the day you would have had to fight or at least do a puzzle to get that item for the bridge. Stuff like that matters to me . I don’t know what went wrong but the original Dragon age gave developers such a good stage to build off of. They should remaster the first game at this point.

Bellara is a good example of why every rpg needs to have killable companions.
