The FBI is working with local, state and tribal leaders to investigate the fires. Meanwhile, heavy rain has slowed the growth. Here is the latest. www.kob.com/new-mexico/southe...
I had a feeling when it first happened because there is NO way those fires started so close in time together. The weather was good too. There will be more people who lost lives, we just don't know yet.
Fires are 0% contained and already our two House Representatives Gabe Vasquez and Melanie Stansbury are working to get Federal aid to the victims...unlike other state's responses. Thank you🙏 Prayers for the victims 6:04 WHERE TO DONATE/HOW TO HELP
Why hasn't the governor and lical officials (yes you Under Sheriff) tasked the guard with doing more than traffic control?! They can bring in fuel, water trucks, bull dozers, bladders, AND be stationed throughout the neighborhoods to do security against looting. This is what's done in the aftermath of hurricanes. Looting is a huge problem and it's devastating to find out you are lucky to have your home intact from the fire only to find out you've been looted and/or vandalized. Under Sheriff get your act together and stop acting like it's no big deal. If you can't, then resign immediately and let someone take charge that can work with the governor and guard to get the appropriate patrols and protection in place NOW.
you do realize that preparation for moving that kind of equipment requires a hell of a logistics line. its not a movie its not just sitting waiting for someone to order it. Americans have one HELL of a skewed view of how reality works. Plus national guard is actually on station at tasks they've been assigned to. which units do you want pulled from which tasks? stop playing armchair general. you're not very good at it.
No flying dump trucks are available to dump dirt. They dump liquid red fire retardant slurry from big planes. Must load plane where there is water then fly to fire zone to dump. Can't fly in bad wind such as last few stormy days.
I'm just saying what I heard. And yes you're absolutely 👍😢😢😢😢 the carelessness that choice took if true you know.. however I do know that all those hard working people loving caring for their own families to establish some sort of life a sort of home life.. you know it's sad to work so hard for any one to light a match and burn it all away 😢😢😢
At this point God, a miracle, 🙏🙏 🙌 will be the only thing to save Ruidoso.. I myself I love Ruidoso I am from Alamogordo NM my whole life.. I have great close friends that are considered family that live up there.. and this callus carelessness of action needs to be dealt with CAN I GET AN AMEN
@@b15cowboy75 no maybe not. But there is a devil to and we do not blame God for everything either. I believe God helped put the fires out that the 👿 devil started
The incompence is on the us forest service and the reservation for allowing the fuel to build up and ignoring the growing brush piles until it was so thick many areas have become impassable it's not a healthy forest everything is so dense in these mountains the trees choke each other out perhaps now there will be more attention brought to the issue and they will allow us to implement some proper management measures to ensure this kind of tragedy never happens again too bad it took losing the state's largest tourist destination to have this issue brought to light
Is there a reason it isn't at all contained when so much fire-service work has been done? I think the incompetence of the federal forest service is showing.
those fire fighting teams are some of the highest trained people in the country. they know what they're doing and growing up time...fighting real life fires isn't what it is in MOVIES. people need to learn to separate make believe from real life.
You've got to understand the scale and intensity of these fires as much as we humans like to think we are in control of shit we are not God. these fires are miles wide that had flames reaching hundreds of feet into the air once a fire becomes that aggressive it won't go out until it runs out of fuel of which there is an abundance for it to consume we aren't blessed with rivers and lakes everywhere like some of the wetter eastern states this is a high altitude desert and we are doing everything possible to mitigate damages so instead of telling us what a shifty job we are doing why don't you grab a shovel and come help yourself
It’s true not only forest service the governor as well. Summer months is always high fire danger. But it sucks some jackass had to do this. Always need to be ready for any situation. Id rather be over prepared than caught with my pants down.
