Veronica Terriquez, director of the UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center and co-founder of the Latina Futures 2050 Lab, gave welcome remarks that outlined the socio-demographic contours of Latinas in the US and the impetus for the Latina Futures 2050 Lab.
“Latina Futures: Transforming the Nation through Law & Policy” took place at the UCLA Luskin Conference Center on January 20 and 21, 2024. The symposium was designed by a national, multi-generational planning committee and sponsored by the Latina Lawyers Bar Association, UCLA Chicanx Latinx Law Review, and Latina Futures 2050 Lab.
