This song used one of the stories on Philippine Mythology: Bulan, Haliya and Bakunawa, where it was believed in ancient times that whenever there's eclipse, the Bakunawa (sea serpent) devours the moon. Felip used this as a metaphor to this song. He emphasizes that we should not let someone or any negativity devour us or steal our light. You may wany to watch Casual Chuck's explanation on this.
