Queen of the south is an amazing album. Her m*latto era was the best. She seemed a lot more elusive in the beginning of her career, now she will do anything to stay relevant. I think the rebrand was rough for her, and she kinda turned herself into a gimmick. It just doesn’t seem like music is where her heart is at, she’s even said that in interviews. She literally referred to herself as a brand/product. Her music lacks authenticity, and I think she’s had a hard time building a solid fan base. I think big mamas 🔥tho. I’ll give her album a listen.

I feel like Latto keeps gunning for Ice Spice because Ice is such an easy target. Ice is easier to go after than someone like a Doechii or Flo Milli on her playing field. Latto feels threatened and like Ice took a spot she earned. Also paying attention to them side by side, they could easily pass as sisters so maybe Latto feels that she has to have an “there can only be one” mentality for the tokenized lightskin thotolympics. I feel like Latto would have been where she wanted to be these last 2 years if she just wasn’t a cornball.
