"In A Man's Life...There's Only So Many Useful Years!" Best quote from this classic...And its a quote that every man should reconsider. Reason being, in these perilous times, men are being crucified and judged daily based on how society treats us as such. This is Thought For Food gents. Overall, fantastic video!
Did you remember the title of a very identical movie. the young hero have a hair band just like this and the final boss is a man with long white hair (if i remember) the climax battle was in a backyard garden. the whole movie is about a sword.... ??
Awesome n Amazing Kung Fu movie I just love Kung Fu movie's n this one is one of my favorite n I hope see this one again n I want 2 find this one again one day I will!!!!😍😍😍😍💋💋💋💋
Yes, the full moon hanging in the sky is one of director Chor Yuen's favorite images. It's in every one of his movies that I've seen. Out of all the major Shaw Brothers directors, he had the most elegant and aestheticized visual style. Notice also all the shots with leaves or other objects in the extreme foreground, sometimes out of focus, framing the image and giving it greater spatial depth.
@@yohei72 well said! Death Duel was my favorite set. I think it had a setting sun rather than the moon but the beginning is flat out awesome! As is the whole movie.
+پارمیس صادقی You are welcome. This is a great movie with great actors. This is the only movie that 2 of my favorites - Alexander Fu Sheng and Lo Lieh were ever in together.
That spear is very rare in any Kung Fu film. Almost nonexistent, a member on a rack of instruments that no one ever uses. So this is quite a change up. I'm interested in this movie. Oh look...Well whadda u know!
You've not watched many Kung Fu films - it's a Kung Fu movie staple. The Sword Vs Spear is a genre convention that dates back to the Black & White era - some of the best examples can witnessed in Challenge Of The Masters (1976), Encounters Of The Spooky Kind (1980) & Odd Couple (1979).
Check out Legendary Weapons of China, you'll see many cool weapons im n that movie, all demonstrated by the legendary Lau Kar Leung, may he rest in peace.
@Grandmastergav86 😩 “ DEATH HAPPENS!…. It’s no different than with countless other Entertainers and Athletes. Most of that era’s movie stars are either deceased or elderly. given how many of these Kung Fu classics were filmed during the 1970s and 80s, Almost daily, I’m either hearing or seeing the deaths of some famous celebrity that I was familiar with. Few still remain and have usually retired. Rather than mourn those gone, I just try to fondly remember their great careers. ”
I remember this movie... about the ranking of all fighter in martial world..Liu Yung as a fighter number 5, Yeh Hua no 4..Fu Sheng who secretly have killed his opponent with his left hand (normally he used only right hand)..was no. 2... Ti Lung was a Flying Blade fighter ranked no 3 .. I am looking for the full version of this movie.
In the old days, great men must know kung fu, no need to have any job, no eating. When they fight, easily 60 minutes, no issue with dressing in long dress, amazing? Until master Bruce Lee showed up, suddenly all disappeared including Ti Lung.
dreggymon No, didn't hear of the dub teams. I must avoid! I am the same for all films, be it Japanese, Cantonese which I don't understand much of, Russian etc The original actors infused a great deal of acting into their voices, and that cultural nuance is often lost when dubbed. I don't understand Japanese but cultural tones are natural and it is easy to understand the subtleties of what the actor is conveying.
What you talking about these dub created "Wu Tang" the rap clan phenomenon. Imagine being Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Donny Yen or the great Gordon Liu and being ask "What do you think of blacks rapping to Shaw Brothers dubbing?"
