@Timotby Lyons. Exactly!!! I was thinking something along the lines of catamaran style barrels, maybe smaller? But definitely a emergency Life Boat with a extra motor,came oars and PFDS! I think the back/ transom sits too low..I personally would not feel safe in that tub lol! Sorry, but I fear for their safety. I love that these guys created this, but modifying seems more important before a maiden test of two weeks.. Weather, being weather as in Winds....err..😬😬😬 I want needed about putting a short keel under that sucker but maybe it would be in the way, and guess the barrels might serve..I'm just a silly gal, but I enjoy watching building projects and how they work...I was once a machinist,, and I love the Water...kayak for now..( sit in kind mire stable) Thanks for validating a concern!🚣⛵🛳👍🍺🍺🙋

Yeah, that center of balance looks awfully high. It'll be great on flat water but any kind of real waves would probably flip her right over. I second the suggestion about adding some outriggers, although that might make her too wife to trailer easily. Just be careful, Steve!

They could be hinged to fold up in transit I guess

You could add a retractable centre board like a sailing dinghy.

Remember that they're only sailing her on a river where it's mostly extremely shallow. I'd be surprised if there's even room for this boat to capsize in most of it.

Amen brother I agree with you 1000%! I don’t personally know Steve Crazy Neighbor or Beautiful Wife but I would do anything in my personal power for ALL of them.

True, it makes us not compare with millionaires but be happy and content with what we have and how we can make the most out of an ordinary life.. which indeed becomes an extra ordinary experience.. I am never the one to compare with riches but then after facing betrayals we go into competitive mode which could lead to unhealthy lifestyle and we miss to enjoy along our journey..

+1, I have done more camping since watching Steve's channel. It is much more inspirational than any of the more hardcore, bushcrafty folks, who only do these epic trips. It's about not the gear, not the location, not the length, just about going and doing it.

I too, love watching the adventures of Steve. With a media pollution of bad news, Steve offers us a great escape.

It would make sense to now build pontoons, but with bulk heads and some could also be used fo storage . I am thinking maybe electric drive motor on each pontoon and batteries stored in the pontoons.

Good idea. I would not trust this on a major body of water at all. Underpowered and cobbled together on a major river is not smart. Fun maybe, not smart.

I was thinking the same thing. Not sure why they did not plan for the window to open. I don't think one would be able to stay in there in the summer sun when the boat is not moving.
