Put 3 or 4 #4 lead shot in your pan. As long as the lead shot remains in the pan so will the gold. So you can be very aggressive. Sometimes a drop or two of Dawn detergent will help if there is any oil in the water. Lastly I always did best at night using a white gas lamp.
I aspire to be homeless cold wet buggy and alone. Camping is a failed attempt at life lol the best thing about it is getting home and taking a hot shower.

You are going out into the world to show stealth camping but you have expectations on the world to compromise with you or you give up and go home. You stealth camp but with the first lack of comfort or displeasure you give up instead of showing your fans how to OVERCOME. Not good
You could have made this into an absolutely great video about how to remain and endure with resilience, and wit and ingenuity. In real life, in REAL stealth camping things often go wrong, something is list, things are not ideal, or life just doesn't cooperate. It's times like this when you could have shown the viewers your skill, wit, knowledge, resilience, and not given up, showing us something NEW in you. Normal people don't have all the latest equipment. Normal stealth campers can't just give up bc things aren't ideal and just go home. Why can't you take a step further or beyond what you do and show that you do have what it takes to truly stay out overnight in less than ideal conditions. I enjoy your videos. I don't mean to criticize, I just think you missed out on a great opportunity, or you just don't have the same perspective that a lot of your viewers do. Watch Les Stroud, another Canadian. I agree with you. If I drive two hours to get someplace, got to set up tent and get food and on and on. By time that is done it is time to sleep. Next day go dig. Dig eat at river. Hope there is no bathroom calls. Find a few specks. Go back to camp begin all over in morning. But if I had to cold turkey down to a river with no tent sight I'd be frustrated. Especially if you suddenly begin to find that awesome spot
I used to like and watch Steve a lot but you know he was a millionaire before his wife died. So yeah I know I don't watch commercials anymore because he earns more interest in the bank then me watching his commercial earns him. And I really don't watch him anymore because he's changed and it's just not entertaining anymore. I don't care. I have my rights to my beliefs but not not trying to shove them down your throat I'm just saying what I'm going to do. You want to keep watching him good for you, but I don't have to so I'm not going to because I just don't find the content entertaining anymore.
It's times like this, when things are not ideal, when things get hard, that makes for a real interesting video. I think people would have been drawn to watching a video that goes from stealth camping to overnight survival, endurance, resilience, ingenuity, and realism. What if someone was 'really' out camping with nowhere else to go and they didn't have the comforts that you bring along, how would they make the best out of what they have. I know, I have lived homeless now for 4 years and stealth camp almost every night of my life. I am also a fan of yours Steve. I just believe that you could have taken this opportunity to make a real survival stealth overnight video. People that stealth camp don't usually come with the latest equipment. They have whatever they have. I really enjoy Les Stroud videos as well. Anyway, I'm not criticizing anything, just giving an opinion. You are great Steve. Thanks.
I completely agree with you. Is videos have changed census first content posts, but you know people change and so that is going to happen. However, his posts of these days are just not interesting to me anymore. You can only do the same thing over and over again before people lose interest and that's all he's doing is doing the same thing over and over again you know in hopes of keeping his millionaire status and I'm not going to be a part of it anymore. I feel sorry for his losses but you know what I never tried to monetize on my own personal losses normal everyday life. I appreciate him sharing but I think he's getting too desperate and I'm just not going to watch him anymore. And that's my right and like I said you trolls are going to troll on me I don't care, I don't have notifications turned on so you trolls have fun in responding to me while you should be responding to your idol instead. My initial comment was on what I believe he could have used a bad situation into an interesting piece on what to do in a real situation where, in real world, things often don't go right. He could have showed how to remain there and endure with wit and resilience, but it seemed just bc one part was not right he fell apart. I still like Steve and I enjoy his videos.
