I bought this pattern over a year ago. I was terrified to sew this, because I didn't understand how to sew the pieces together. This tutorial has greatly enhanced my understanding and confidence. I am going to make this for my son by using sone very masculine fabric selections. Thank you! Alaska! What a lovely design!

To make this larger does it take extra 82 blocks of block # 2? Will this make this quilt a king size. You are very clear on instructions even for a beginner. Love this pattern I think it will be so beautiful with Batik Fabrics

I'm very excited! My pattern and templates arrived today from Laundry Basket Quilts and I'm gathering my fabrics I want to use. I do plan on making the additional 32 blocks to add a border to the quilt. Are there any fabric requirements anywhere for adding the additional blocks to make a border. I want to be sure to have enough fabric before I start cutting. Thanks...this is a gorgeous quilt and I can hardly wait to start in sewing. Your video was very instructional.
